Christianity didn't start until Acts. There was no Christianity until Jesus rose from the dead. What I admire about Jesus is that HE did not start a religion about himself, others did. He just taught the truth. Christianity is just a name for a religion. The religion itself is believing in Jesus.

Better still, Jesus was a Jew, so why is being a Jew so "dirty" in the mind's of so many self professed "Christians"? What do people think Jesus would feel was more important: being a good person or professing to be a good person? Labels are meaningless, actions are what truly define people. What kind of fool do people take Jesus to be?

My dear friend, Christian is the religion of Jesus, and for Jesus. Before Jesus there were no Christians and not until his death was there a religion known as Christianity. Although he had followers while he was alive, I don't think they referred to themselves as Christians then.

A Christian is a follower of Jesus of Nazareth, referred to as the Christ. Christians believe Jesus to be the Son of God, who lived a life befitting that of the creator of the universe, free of sin and full of love, who at the end of his earthly life was crucified, and then on the third day, rose from the dead, and later ascended into heaven.
Jesus was Christ and we are his Christians/mini him.

WOW so ignorant. Jesus was Jewish. And we are christians because we believe Jesus is the Messiah ("Christ" in greek) that is prophesied in the Tanakh and that he was sent by God as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus didnt worship himself...... We are Christians cause we follow the teachings of the Christ.

Jesus was the beginning of Christianity. True he was a Jew, but he became the first Christian and declared Judaism Christianity. Christianity is a continuation of Judaism, but this time the Messiah (Jesus) is present in the religion and the waiting for him is over, where as in Judiasm they are still waiting for the Messiah.
