Hey! Good question!
The term "God" could mean anything...making it a neutral and often times meaningless word that people spend way too much time arguing about...
People who "believe" in "God" are simply doing what they want to do...they give definition to the word and apply it however they want - negatively or positively. In your private life the word is as important as you want it to be.
"God" aside, in the end it's what we do for each other that will make the world a better place. Not arguing and fighting over meaninglessness and silly religious traditions that were developed before the age of modern Science and medicine.
Do your best to promote scientific learning and rational thinking and don't worry about it. Man will always have an obsession with a "higher power" so we might as well get used to it...

Some people say that God doesn't exist because there is no proof. Other people say that God exists even they have no proof. Some people have faith and others have no faith.
One must believe in something greater than themselves or they are in real trouble. The key is this: "Believe in God don't pretend to believe in God, it's the pretending that gets man into trouble". As for you being a Christian, it is a good tool to cleanse the heart. After the heart has been cleansed, it's in your hands as to what might be next in your life!

Because You Were Born In A Christian Community That's Why... You Didn't Choose To Be A Christian It's More Like Your Parents Did Years Ago When You Were Born And Baptised And Now You Roam God's Green Earth As A Christian.

For me, God exists and I am a Christian. For you, you are just a Christian in name only because you are just following what your mom says to do. You do not have a personal relation with Jesus Christ and you don't even know God. To you He does not exist and that's because you have never made it a point to seek Him. The word of God says, "If you seek me with all your heart, I will be found of you."
I like you, David, because at least you are honest in yourself and what you believe. I just pray that in time, you will discover God for yourself.

If the "Christian God" DOES exist, why have so many millions and millions of people been allowed to live their lives and die (before Christ) through just plain innocent ignorance of the fact "He" was there? Does that seem like a just & fair "God" to you?

You are just simply lost as a christian, no offense.You can't be christian if u don't believe in God and Jesus. Whenever you get a chance, try and go to a church, i'm not trying to preach or anything but one day just try it and really listen to what they say. If no impact happens to you , try praying for REAL. Don't expect him to answer in voice. He will answer in actions.
