my nose is a little stuffy, my throat doesn't hurt, but i can hardly speak! if words can come out, they're high pitched..please please please please please tell me how to get my voice back
its ruining my whole spring break and its my birthday in a few days...please please please i want to be able to speak normally again please please help me!

when i thought i was catching a cold, i took medicine, the next day my voice was a little cranky, the next day, my voice was very cranky, today, i can hardly speak...

Jessica R, my cure for a cold won't be a 'biker boy for a life partner'-that is so irrevelant and has nothing to do with a cold... god...

You may have laryngitis - swelling of the larynx -(where the vocal cords live). This should go away on its own - in a few days. Rest, plenty of liquids and as little talking as possible to preserve your voice. You do not want to further irritate the vocal cords.

should the problem persist much more than a week - I would recommend seeing the family doc.

Don't talk - today.

Take a steamy shower.

Warm salt water gargle -

Drink tea with honey and lemon and get some
cough drops.
Drink some hot water with lemon
take a sudafed and remember colds last 9 days generally the first 3 days are the worst.

i do not want to scare you but go to the doctor I thought I had a cold to and I have pneumonia if you do have any pain in your back take what I say but till then or if its is a cold drink a lot warm tea with honey will help anything warm and wait on your b. day till you feel better but happy b. day you will speak normal make sure its not strep .

Make sure you rest and talk as little as possible. Get a lot of vitamin C to help your immune system. If this continues for any longer than a week go see your doctor.

try boiling some hot water- then add some fresh lemon juice and some honey. that should do the trick. hope this helps.

ps.doc is the next step if this doesn't help.

get plenty of rest, don't speak too much, drink hot tea with lemon, honey n ginger, gargle warm salty water

Take 1000 mil of vitamin c every hour for six hour this usually works well .good luck
