The only painting available to me is rattle can paint. This is not an option, because (I know from experience) over a short period of time, application of the brake will rub the paint off. Powder coating is too expensive, and I will never have a disc brake. Is there something I can spray on the wheels (besides paint) which will protect them from rust without adversely affecting braking, or damaging my brake pads? (I keep bike in garage when not in use, but I still have to worry about the humidity.)
