Homosexuality may be seen as being a simple anomaly in nature, or a more or less temporary fad with some stupid immoral health-risking people.
In the Bible homosexuality is definitely described as being an abominable perversion, and there it is declared that those involved in homosexual acts should be exterminated.
God is reported to have created humans so that they should be man and wife and get off-spring so to populate the World, and it is obvious to us that gays were not meant to do so, as they cannot naturally beget off-spring "from behind".
The Christians talk a lot about mercy, even if they oftenmost are quite merciless unto non-Christians and unto each other, and also about the need of avoiding scandals.
So, to give a simple explanation of such a fear, we may guess that most of the peace-loving Christians wish that homosexuality was NOT there, or was not true, and that they fear when it is there, or that they wish that it was a taboo.

There are many people who claim to know the truth (not just about homosexuality, but everything).
The facts as I know it are:
1) Approximately 10% of the entire global population are homosexual or bisexual.
2) There is some evidence that point to a variation in a genes that correlates with homosexuality
3) Some people (mainly christians) claim that homosexuality is a choice and is a sin.
4) Some other people claim that homosexuality is not a choice, but something that they are born with.
Given the societal stigma associated with being a homosexual, and the evidence, I tend to believe item 4.

Did you know that according to some if not all Jewish circles that Adam was a hermaphrodite, then He took the female part from him to make Eve?
God told us to go forth a have babies.
How are two men or two women going to do that?
I think the truth about homosexuals is just another reflection of the reduced morality of this world, where gambling, prostitution and drugs are slowing being legalized. In the end if it feels good it must be good, good is not always God.

Most moral issues are based on the teachings of the Bible, weather right or wrong. Medical science, now knows that homosexuality is determine at birth and the person has little to do with the outcome. There is nothing abnormal about being a homosexual. If the facts were know, we might find a goodly portion of the populous are homosexual.

Genetics. There is research going on right now to see if there is a link between left-handedness and homosexuality. Don't be mad at me I'm not the one funding it. Also there is some research into how many boys(if mother has gay son) and how many girls(if mother had gay daughter) a woman has had and what affect that has on the future generations of that sex as far as sexuality goes. If a woman has 3 boys then her body will create less testosterone in the 4th boy which could lead to homosexuality. They also have found that it could be as deep as our genetics. I don't know an awful lot about that subject though =O. It's worth the time to research it though.

I'm sure I don't know to what they're referring, but as far as I'm concerned, what the couple next door are doing (m/f, m/m, f/f) isn't my concern, any more than what my wife and I are are doing is THIER concern.
As long as I don't hear any cries for help or gunshots, or I awakened by the cops one night a week from their fighting, I could care less.
Any couple of any gender that can keep a relationship together for 8 years is "beating the odds" for divorce.
Face the ugly statistics; heteros have not done all that well in keeping things together. Why should they claim the right to set standards?
Live and let live. Mind our own business.

The truth is that homosexuals do not choose to be that way. Therefore, if they are born that way, christians must fess up that god made them that way so they cannot be an abomination afterall. So it's either they believe homosexuality is okay because god made them that way or they believe god screwed up.
They don't want to know the truth about homosexuality so they choose to say (though they know better) that it's a choice.

The truth is that homosexuality physically harms a man as he will suffer rectal trauma because a large object has been repeatedly forced into an opening which was designed for a radically different function.
Lesbian sex is no picnic either; the rate of syphilis among women who practice homosexual acts is nineteen times higher than the rate among women who don't.

Unfortunately, without the text of the original question to refer to, this debate has no purpose.
Perhaps, in future, you'd prefer not to arbitrarily censor 'your opponent', unless, of course, revisionism is the one tactic you have left.
The less information you provide for a rebuttal, the better your argument looks.
It doesn't stand up in the real world.
Over all, you lack finesse.
If you want to play with the grown ups, you'd best do some growing up.
I'd be happy to answer any question you posted, if I though it wasn't going to be mangled, pre-posting, to suit you.
I had expected better from a lip service Christian. I really don't know why.

Don't know what those Christians mean. The truth is that some people sexually prefer other people of the same gender.
