I won't let them get away with it - I ALWAYS check my receipts religiously ! ! !

You should check, because we're all easy pickings to make the supermarkets a bit extra profit if we don't! At Asda when I noticed I'd been overcharged for an item that was reduced on the shelf, they refunded the difference and gave me £2.00 for pointing the mistake out. In Tesco, I believe (and it has happened to me) that if you are overcharged for an item, they will give you a full refund for the item(s) and you get to KEEP it (them)!
So it's in your interest...... check those receipts!!!

Yeah I always do, everyone should. I was charged twice for a bottle of bacardie and at the time (not sure if they still do) tescos policy was to give you a refund you for both charges and let you keep the item. So I had it free! Another thing people don't do is check the money that they get out of the cash machine!

I check all the time due to such mistakes they have made in the past by over charging, I am a consumer advocate and I know how to shop for offers, but please believe, the people in the stores still try to scam me by moving items over the reader twice, that is why I carry my own calculator as I pick an item, I calculate....at the register, I calculate, if the numbers are not the same as mine by 15cents or less, we have a problem...keep a calculator on hand all the time and if you forget, carry a pen or pencil.

Yes always and not just regarding special offers I'm often overcharged on the normal priced stuff. Always check.

I check every single supermarket receipt, and restaurant bill. I'm sure it's not on purpose, but I would reckon that in at least 30% of times, I'm overcharged.

I ALWAYS check, I actually stand in the store checking my receipt before I leave as I have been previously overcharged so many times. Stores make so much money already they don't need my extra pounds.

Yes, every single time. I've discovered a mistake on 10 for $10 canned foods, and another overage on lemons. Both times I complained at Safeway I got a discount.

I do check... I was just charged twice for the crackers I bought. I would probably be shocked at the over charges if I checked the price I was charged on every item compared to the shelf price.
