the bible says we have 2 types of christians. one is born by the spirit of christ which can only come by the pure word. the other is born by the spirit of antichrist due to false doctrine. false doctrine cannot produce a genuine new birth. the majority of so called christians are antichrist and persecute and even kill there true christian/spritual brother.

the bible teaches that the false church that is spritually referred to as a whore(spiritually) because her mind which is the womb of the spirit is corrupted by this false doctrine and gives birth to the devil incarnate or antichrist which is the pope.
this is seen all thru scripture when the false brother persecutes and many times kills his brother like cain and able, esau and jacob, joseph and his 11 brethren, jesus and judas. even the pope in the dark ages killed 68 million christians, 6 million jews in world war 2, and kills many more true christians in the great tribulation and 144, 000 more jews.
he also assurps himself as head of the church, christ is here and is head of the church

Pastor Billy says: they hate him because he represents the true Christian message of love. The current Pope comes from a time in Germany when all German youth were forced into the Nazi youth it was never a choice. The persons you are referring to as "other Christians" are Protestants who are still caught up in the anti-Catholic propaganda taught at the time of the Protestant rebellion called the Reformation. The true is this , these groups all got their start as protesters of Catholicism. They were very anti-Catholic to begin with because they required new converts and had to say and the write the most damnable things to pry Catholics away from the Church. In their logic the ends justify the means.

Edit : David is a prime example of what I'm talking about. He has fallen for the typical propanganda spread some 400 years ago. I challenge him to provide evidence of the 68 million deaths he claims to have happened at the hands of any pope. It is extremely sad to see people slander others and the Church in a matter of fact way yet provide little evidence to back up there claims. On the otherhand I'm pretty sure David would claim we are all sinners if he is in fact a Christian and yet in his world Popes cannot sin something not even taught by Catholicism. The Catholic teaching of infallability does not claim the Pope will say everything correctly at all times nor does it claim the Pope will always act impeccably. In the final analysis every Christian has a Pope figure whether it be their preacher, pastor, minister, elder or themselves. The difference between Catholicism is this, Catholics have but one Pope at a time while Protestantism has millions of Popes simultaneously.

A lot of people do not like the Pope because they do not understand the rule of infallibility. People who do not fully understand the mysteries of Catholicism hear that and think that Catholics feel that whatever the Pope says is true, however, they are very few circumstances when it is believed that the Pope is speaking the actual word of God. Many Christians (who aren't Catholic) don't like any Catholics, and do not believe that they are going to heaven. It all goes back the Protestant Reformation, because historically there have been Popes that were somewhat corrupt. I think that this is ridiculous, and most of the people who 'hate' the Pope are not well educated on the matter.

First, I am not sure I can answer for all Christians, however I do have a few thoughts on the subject. Secondly, I am not sure the term "afraid of Catholics" is exactly correct. Most non Catholic Christians have a few differances in belief which can sometimes make for strained relations between Catholics and non Catholic Christians. Most Non Catholic Christians believe that anyone who has confessed and repented of their sins, and who has accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, and now lives for Christ, is a Christian, whether they are Catholic or Protestant. However, 1. Most non Catholic Christians believe that Mary is to be reverenced as the mother of Jesus, but not to receive prayers. Neither is any other saint or statue to recieve prayer. We pray to the Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus. 2. Non Catholic Christians do not believe it is neccessary to confess our sins to any other person, such as a priest, but rather believe that our sins should be confessed in private directly to God the Father. Having been forgiven our sins through the death and resurrection of Jesus, we believe we are seen by the Father through the blood of Christ as holy and acceptable. This gives us permission to go boldly before the Father in prayer to praise him, and to place our requests before him. If you have experianced rejection, or ill treatment of any kind, by non Catholic Christians I appologize. You are correct, the Bible says "They will know we are Christians by our love." We all need to live up to that tenant and show Christian love to all. God Bless You.

It is because they are not Catholic (neither am I, I'm a Spiritual Satanist (http://www.joyofsatan.org)) and they don't like Catholics for some odd reason. I don't concern myself with anything that is Christian, so as a person, the Pope is fine by me, but when he preaches lies and denounces Satanism as Devil Worship, THAT makes me hate him, because he, like most Catholics, does not want to do the research on the true religion, instead deciding to conform to the religious ideals he was taught, and not thinking for himself. So, by that account, I can say that most Satanists (who think it through---The Pope most likely was raised to believe like he does, and is thus a slave, it is also highly unlikely that any Christian of any kind knows the truth and the past of their religion, and would denounce it even if it smacked them in the face) will agree that the Pope is a good person, until they see him preaching to the masses, brainwashing them into submission. THAT, my friend, is the ONLY reason that Satanists don't like him, is his preaching and not allowing others to think for themselves and make their own decisions.

Well I myself don't like the pope, and I'm speaking as a Christian. Well first off, I myself don't like idea of having a pope. Having to follow the beliefs of another guy is not what I consider right. It's not right to think of him as "the voice of God" which he is considered to be. Another adversion would be that this new pope doesn't live up to the expectations we have. Our last pope was loved dearly by many, many people, so it's not surprising that this new one is getting bad rep.

While I don't "Hate" the pope, I think it very unfitting that a man who was once an active member of the Nazi party be elected as pope. Especially as he's never "repented" that action, to my knowledge. Someone who dedicated themselves to a philosphy of Hate intrinsic to the Nazi Party isn't, in my opinion, the kind of person I would think of as suitable for this position.

The don't really hate the man, they hate the symbol. They focus their hate on him because it represents the hate they have for christianity, or for some, organized religion, or whatever.

It's kind of like... why do people hate the american flag? They burn it. It's not the flag itself that they hate, it's what the flag represents.

I think most people hate the pope because he is an awful person. As a youth, he was part of the Nazi party. He is part of an organisation known for its prejudiced, hate, abuse, etc.

One of the main problems I have with him (as well as being the head of the most corrupt organisation EVER!) is that he has been aware, over many years, of the sexual abuse suffered by thousands of children at the hands of priests and has done his best to cover it up. He has never attempted to help those poor buggers who have suffered at the hands of these "godly" people, but cover the *** of his religion - which is bloody awful.

I wouldn't personally pee on him of he was on fire!

I don't hate him but I really dislike him and what he represents. He talking against gay people while his priests are raping kids all over the world just make me sick. He is the head of the Catholic Church and as long as the Church keep covering the crimes of its members I hold him responsible.
