Where did you purchase this bike? Was it at a bike store? Or a large box type store? In either case, I would take it back to the store immediately. There are a couple of potential problems here. I'm assuming that the chain is not coming off since you would probably not to able to recover so quickly. You either have a defective crank or defection freehub. Take it back to the store.

The little prongs inside the rear sprocket are not catching, take it back for a replacement. If you can't then spray some wd-40 into the sprocket, not the axle, this will free up the springs inside.

Does'nt sound like a chain problem to me. The rear hub maybe defective. If it's brand new, I'd take it back to the store you bought it from.

Tell your mommy to take you back to the store with the receipt and the bike and explain your problem to the stores owner. Good Luck!

Hey man. Seems they gave you a busted free wheel. Nothings wrong with your chain. Return it asap and ask for a replacement

- chain too long
- rear wheel is loose in horizontal drop-outs, making chain loose
- broken freewheel
- front chainring is not connected properly and is slipping

It doesn't really matter what the problem is, take it back and get it fixed.
