When I mentioned something about her boots and then asked if she was big on shoes, she told me in the summer time she really big on shoes that season. And when I asked if she had any cute ones, she said yes and smiled. Was she engaging in the convo because she knew I had a foot fetish?

And do you think she knows that since i asked about her shoe collection?

I will answer your question, not knowing how you look or how the girl looked or what type of guy she likes - Lets break it down - first the boots: by what you are saying I'd guess that the girl was impressed that you noticed her shoes. Girls do enjoy, and seemingly more receptive to getting compliments about their wardrobe. It is a good opener to compliment the girl. The fact she went on to tell you that the season had a wide variety of shoe types she liked tells she wanted to have the conversation. The next part when you asked about her shoes - when she responded, what was her tone and did her smile seem nonchalant? Depending on how you wordered your question to her - you may have signaled that you thought her boots were ugly and she responded with an angry - yes she had cute shoes and a spiteful smile. She could be keeping up with the convesation by responding that she got more shoes - since you didn't go on whether she stayed with the conversation or up and left after the comment, can't really judge where that went? I doubt that a girl can pick up on the fetish that quick or with that subtle of questions.
