I've tried, but I'm yet to get a definitive ruling on this one. I looked in "Eat Yourself Godless" but it didn't really help.

So tell me: IS baby considered meat, or are we still allowed to eat them?

It only isn't meat if it's boiled.

If human beings are offering you with crap, they probable sense like you're giving them crap. no matter if one intends to or no longer, if someone discusses their causes for being a vegetarian, they sometimes sound like they are judging those who devour meat. Then those who devour meat get shielding. I see this ensue plenty. The vegetarian says, "I do in simple terms not imagine an animal could could die so i can devour." the beef eaters listen, "i don't think of any animals could die for anybody to devour. Why are you eating a dull animal you egocentric individual?" stupid? per chance. yet there really are some vegetarians accessible who imagine like that. Do your best to push aside the human beings who're being nasty. it truly is probable the finest way. If someone provide you with something with meat, in simple terms say "No thanks!" in the journey that they ask why, tell them, fairly, that you're a clean vegetarian. in the journey that they ask you why you're a vegetarian, clarify in as widespread a fashion as a threat your causes. you may say, "it really is for wellbeing causes." Or, "it really is for environmental/moral causes." i could advise adversarial to elaborating if this dialogue is taking position on the dinner table. (that's a touch charged and loaded challenge for discussing eating conduct and human beings are a lot more advantageous probable to be smooth and anticipate that you're judging them for what they are doing.) i wager i have been fortunate in this regard. i do not oftentimes get a lot crap about it. certain, a lot of folk do not realize why i could favor to offer up meat, yet maximum human beings are not jerks about it. even as they are, it really is because they imagine i'm being a jerk. (after I run into someone like that, I in simple terms avert the problem.)

I don't consider refraining from contributing to the suffering of animals for food to be a "restriction" to me. I simply make food/meal choices that excludes meat, nor do I pass judgement on those who aren't vegan/vegetarian.

You do what you can, and if you can't (shrug)....
