Which ways should I brush my hair? (black male)?

actually I'm trying to get waves and I want to know how to get my sides wavy. Also the back of my head. Do I brush forward or back. Please and thanks.

Brush the sides in a slant and the back should generally be brushed down. Heres's a link with pictures and wave info.

brush the sides to the front brush the back of your hair down. you may also need to use some wave control pomade.
