I know, golbal warming has it's pros and cons.

Pros: We will have less winter and more summer, if sea level will rise that will bring the beaach closer to thhose inland residents, we won't have to suffer winter weather like we are now, christmas will be spent on beaches like it is in florida.

Cons: Animals are becoming endangered, especially amphibians, Fresh water will become harder to find, Humans will suffer from lack of water and heatstroke by 2050, & the air quality will continue to get worse.

Actually right now we are experiencing the coldest April in 113 years.

http://www.agweb.com/get_article.aspx?pageid=135336&src=gennews.

Actually, this recent cold spell may be proof that Global Warming isn't caused by carbod dioxide at all.

According to skeptics of the carbon dioxide/global warming theories, the main source of fluctuations in global temperatures is directly due to changes in the sun.

Interestingly we are currently having minimum sunspot activity in the solar cycle, which has particularly just bottomed out over the last week or two, with practically no sunspot activity at all. According to some theories, lack of sunspot activity can cause colder temperatures on Earth, and lots of sunspot activity can cause higher temperatures on Earth.

This is not something Al Gore and the "global warming alarmists" want you to know.

While sunspots cycles usually last about 11 years, they have been increasing overall. However right now, we are in the lowest point of the current cycle, and there have been almost no new sunspots for about 1.5 weeks (as of 4/12/07)

Here is some excellent information about sunspots and climate change:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3869753.stm

And here is some data comparing the warmest April on record (2006) to this year.

April 2006:

http://www.dxlc.com/solar/old_reports/2006/april/indices.html

April 2007 (so far the coldest in over 100 years)

http://www.dxlc.com/solar/indices.html

As you will notice, the sunspot activity last April was extremely high, which caused the warm temperatures.

This year there has been practically no sunspot activity, leading to cooler temps.

But the answer to your question "whats so bad about global warming anyway?"

Not much, while Earth goes through small fluctuations in climate, the drastic catastrophic disasters that some are predicting, have absolutely no factual basis. It is just a bunch of environmentalists who are trying to scare us into believing that if we don't do what they say, we will have disasters.

These types of warnings and predictions have been happening for years. In fact in the 1970-80's they were predicting an ice age and horrible cold temps. Did that happen?

Anyway, it will most likely be much colder than usual the rest of this spring and summer. It is just part of the natural process of our sun, so there is nothing to worry about.

Yes, u will enjoy having warmer climate. But u dont know the consequenses of global warming. The temperature would rise globally not only at one place due to global warming. Due to this rise in temperature the glaciers n other ice bodies will melt n this will result in rise in sea level which will further result in flooding of coastal areas. Many other ill effects also occur to animal n plant life.By the way, where d u live???

Evidence is showing that it will cause the extinction of some animal and plant species, Insects are also showing to be affected by this; and there is no doubt that even with the Human capabilities to adapt, extreme conditions will have a vital effect on all life forms, we as humans are not exempt to
the harsh reality or severity of an unstable and increasingly
severe climate changes.

about it the earth has got its own style to run its weather, but we are making it to run more faster the it does,
well you live in clod and rainy place, does it rain down the year, it may be but let me tell yo one thing ,
the earth normally raises its tempter by 0.2-.05%, but from last 100 yrs, it raised to 0.5-2%of first 5 yrs but later it spending up an Snow it is getting m,ore hotter, you know it is 2% { 2degrees of heat} raising up which leads to melting Ice and by which sea water raise up , life will be destroyed at the bays , later the co2 which we are leaving in to the atmosphere causes damage to the ozen layer , by which the land gets heat up and makes the things more worse,
there will be no proper rains -mostly seasons will shift from their basic months, global warming leads to our own disaster.

not everybody lives where you do

go to the countries on the equator check what is happening there

in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification and some have died as a result

in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert,

,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and many of the desserts we know result of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less

When it gets warm and dry where you are, it will get very much warmer and drier in lots of places where our food comes from now. We won't have enough to eat.

Also, a lot of our world's fresh water comes from glaciers. When they are gone, there won't be enough fresh water to drink. It seems like you have a lot of fresh water now with all of the rain, but that will not be there any more.

Coastal flooding and serious damage to agriculture will cost rich countries huge sums of money. Some of it will be yours.

Poor countries already struggling to feed themselves will have it worse. There many people will die of starvation.

If we do nothing, it will be the worst disaster in history.
