These ever growing ex muslim and secular islamic voices from within islam has now become the worst nightmare for muslims.
If islam is so peaceful why are muslims trying to kill these dissidents?

I don’t think there is enough people to silence anyone when it comes to religion PERIOD. Anything to do with religion has caused murder, pain and suffering.

There is a bigger issue here. No matter what every group has people who rebel because they take content either the wrong way or too serious. Don’t take this wrong I just hope I word this correctly to get the point across without offending.

Instead of thinking for oneself and believing a religion how you wish it to be (in a way that is still acceptable without causing to much conflict within yourself). Many take a form that takes the words and twist them to the max,
You will read a sentence one will see it as it really is meant to be taken, the other will try to find the worst and abuse it so loudly that other foolish people believe it also. WHY? Because a lot of it was written in the day where extra long wording wasn’t required to understand something. Limited really. Instead of maybe reading a bit of history at to how things worked then. With increase in knowledge and internet at your finger tips those people are too lazy to find the answers and try to fully mislead others.. and it BLOODY WELL WORKS.

On this subject one voice doesn’t hold a flame to the increasing number of rebels. Most people are stupid ... really they are.. Im sorry to say it. I too have my moments but common sense and some thinking keep my head level.

Any authoritarian group, religion or not, will attempt to silence dissidence. It is necessary to have voluntary submission in order to keep masses of people under control. If they were to tolerate dissidents, soon the dissidents would become the leaders of a general rebellion, and those in authority would be brought down.

muslims call islam "peaceful" because they are referring to the peace they believe they will get when they all go to heaven. It doesn't matter if they have to behead every non-muslim to achieve their goal of turning everyone muslim, they believe once that happens the world will end, sending them into everlasting bliss & peace.
