Why is it that no one says anything about volcano's and the sulphur and gases they let off in the atmosphere, causing acid rain and creating a cloud that stays in the atmosphere for over three years and causing havoc beacuse of it. they do not say to much about this and also their nuclear test sites where they blow these things up underground this also causes a chain reaction in the earth creating earth quakes in other parts of the world. And what about airplanes that fly in the atmosphere, do you know that before a plane reaches its leveling off altitude it has dumped 20 to 35 percent of its raw fuel right out of its engines. look for the trail behind the plane.

If you watch the NOVA film "Dimming the Sun" you will realize that scientists are well aware of the effects of airplane emissions on the atmostphere. Every aspect of this problem has been scrutinized and the conclusion is clear.
Despite the ignorant and desperate claims of the climate change deniers, there is excellent and solid evidence that the current rapid climate change is caused by humans.
This has now been confirmed by thousands of refereed studies, and reported repeatedly in the IPCC report and reports from other international groups of thousands of top scientists from more than 100 countries.
It is not just the same old climate change, it is not changes in the sun's activity. It is not a liberal plot. It is hard science, confirmed many times over.
Al Gore, a very smart and well educated man, got the science exactly right in his film "Inconvenient Truth." Fortunately, scientists all over America have realized this and faculty at over 1000 universities around the country have promoted showings of this film which will result in over 20 million school children seeing the film this month for Earth Day. At least those kids will soon have a much more realistic and accurate view of the situation than the folks who wrote most of these answers.

With regard to the volcanoes, nothing can be done about them in the short run, unlike other sources of global warming.
As for the the planes. The new long range Airbus will have 18% better fuel economy. Airbus is studying a new midrange plane with better fuel economy for 2014 which I think is a bit far away. We need something sooner than this.
I tried to e-mail Airbus regarding this, but could not find any contact information on their website.
The other problem regarding planes is the older models from before 1970-1993 which have relatively bad fuel economy. These should be retired to save the planet. However, this might increase plane ticket prices.

Volcanoes are studied. Climatologists aren't ignoring them, they include them in their analyses. Little is said because they're not very important to global warming. The facts are here.

Airplanes are responsible for a little. But there are enormously more numbers of cars, so cars are way more important. Once again, airplanes are not ignored they're just not important.
There are very very few underground nuclear tests these days. Completely unimportant.
The things you hear about; cars, power plants, land use, are the important ones. No one is making a big mistake here, there are thousands of people working together on this and they think about most everything. If one person doesn't another does.

I think that every1 is making excuses, looking for the 1 cure, and is extreemly ungreatful for the stuff that we have and can do.
We all should be doing as much as we can to adjust our lifestyles to start taking control of our environment and stop being so ignorant.
The facts are that weather or not its due to our development or the earths natural causes, the weather is getting warmer just go outside and see.
we are all wrapped up in the why and who and not thinking about what we can do to adjust it for our own survival.
We are spending to much time in trying to find whos to blame and not enough time on what can we do to survive it
