God doesn't have a problem with gays; He loves them. God has a problem with homosexual behavior. And the idea that homosexuals are "born that way" is still not proven. I can't even figure how this could be proven. Show me a homosexual baby.

Many homosexuals hold to the belief that they were born that way, and there are some researchers who suggest, on the basis of several recent studies, that there may be a genetic predisposition toward homosexuality in some people. However, even those who argue this believe that certain environmental factors would also have to be present for the condition to develop. In any case, other scientists have challenged these studies, and there is presently no generally accepted scientific evidence that the homosexual inclination is inborn. Also, in a broken world, the discovery of a genetic link would not prove that such a condition was God's intent.

It must be emphasized that even if a biological predisposition to homosexuality in some people exists, it would not change God's opposition to the behavior. Neither would it change the fact that through the transforming power of Jesus Christ freedom from sinful behavior is always available. In addition, many strugglers discover growing heterosexual attractions as they address underlying problems with the help of competent Christian support and counseling.

A recent book which discusses genetics and homosexuality is "Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth" by Dr. Jeffrey Satinover. For a practical guide to overcoming homosexuality, the book "Coming out of Homosexuality" by Bob Davies and Lori Rentzel would be helpful. These books would be available through most Christian bookstores or by contacting Regeneration Books, P. O. Box 9830, Baltimore, Maryland 21284-9830, telephone: (410) 661-4337. Exodus International North America—P. O. Box 540119, Orlando, Florida, 32854, telephone: (888) 264-0877—provides information about homosexuality and Christian ministries which help those impacted by homosexuality.

What evidence do you have for that statement?

Despite numerous research projects on this subject there has been NO unequivocal evidence to support the idea that anyone is innately homosexual.

The best that can be said, from a pro-inbuilt homosexuality point of view, is that certain factors MAY INCLINE someone towards a preference for homosexual behaviour. However NONE of these features has been found in ALL of the subjects.

Even twin studies cannot support more than a 25% involvement of the genes in the preference for homosexua behaviour - and NO explanation of how even that 25% would work.

That doesn't PROVE that homosexual behaviour is chosen, but it provides NO significant support for the "born homosexual" claims. And no reason, as yet, to assume a similarity between how you acquire your eye colour and how some people come to prefer homosexual behaviour.

As to why God "has a problem" with homosexual behaviour, maybe you'd prefer to consider the evolutionists point of view?

According to Richard Dawkins, in his book "The Selfish Gene", the whole point of human beings (from a "naturalistic" biological perspective) is to act as personnel carriers for our genes and to produce offspring so as to replicate our genes into the next generation.

On thiat basis, since homosexual behaviour by definition precludes sex with a person of the opposite gender, all homosexual behaviour is a rejection of our most basic evolutionary purpose.

So I guess evolutionists, if they're being honest, also have a problem with homosexuality?

Lastly, despite propaganda toi the contrary it seems that a steady stream of people do entirely voluntarily choose to re-align their sexual preferences (emotional AND physical) to a heterosexual orientation - and comfortably maintain that re-alignment 10, 20 years or more after the shift.
If they had no choice in the matter, how could that be true.

Seems like the "we was born this way" argument has far more to do with a "victim" mentality than with any useful evidence, doesn't it?

I'm not so sure God does have a problem with gays. The bible was written by men and I believe they were most afraid of stopping or slowing down the conception of future generations. And therefore, slowing down the religious population. I really can't see how a loving God wouldn't love Gays. Any of us that know Gays personally certainly like them as individuals. I'm not talking about the flamboyant ones that flaunt being gay either. It's just a thought.

Spirit does not have a gender. Spirit experiencing humanly life form has a male and female body.

There is so called Yin/Yang, Male/Female energies. Everyone has a different mixture of these energies.
Religions just give paths to the seekers. They are just advices. You can follow the path or you can select your own path.

Humanly life form, on the GAIA necessitates male and female bodies and attitudes. This is the blueprint, design criteria.

If our holly task on the world is, working for the good and supreme wealth of all being and mankind. We must track the defined road.

Gays are not "born that way", IMHO. There is a reason God created man and woman the way He did. Of course, part of human nature is to feel affection to both sexes. But, sexuality itself was sanctified by God to be ONLY between a man and a woman.

God gives us commandments, things that He wants us to do that will bring us ultimate happiness. He allows temptations to be put before us, so that we can choose to follow God, or follow our own baser instincts.

We are more than just our sexual choices.

BTW, babies and pre-pubescent children do have sexual feelings, just not to the degree adults and pubescent children do.

Homosexuality is a perversion that is an abomination in the eyes of God.
I do not believe anyone is born that way, I think it is a choice that is made, perhaps unconsciously, but a choice never the less.

What is your problem with God...? Why do you assume it is the person,,it is the sin He will not let in His presence not the person,,He loves everyone with an everlasting Love..Just as any other sin He will not allow it in His presence..No, men or women were not born like that,,that is a lie from satan..That is a lifestyle people have chosen to live..
We can't act any way we want and then think God is pleased with sins in our life...

God's problem...it's a person's bad choice in *behavior* that God does not approve of. Consider that it is not only because He said so but there is proof as to why He says so as well.

Interesting point on the eye color but right back to our parents we are lead for the proof to this answer as well.

God has no problems with homosexuals Mr. Bowie,
people are merely ignorant and misinterpret the Bible so they can distort it to explain their hatred.
Look at the KKK, Westboro Baptist Church, Evangelicals and Neo-Nazis.
So much hatred is not what God intended.

They do not choose to be born that way, because they aren't born that way.. A person is born with an eye color due to genes, but there is no evidence to suggest thatsexuality is a 'feature.' It is something that we choose! A person will turn homosexual because of temptation to try something new, or not being manly enough.. I could go on for ages but i wont. The Lord loves gay people as much as he loves straight people (enough to send his son for them!) But when a person has sexual relations with a man it defiles the marriage bed. Marriage was set apart to be sacred, for man and woman! When the marriage bed is defiled, it is a mockery to God! The devil uses this, and this is why it is so rampant in this day!
