All these people who think everyone else is bound for hell because they didn't take a bath or they don't go to the right church or they didn't get born in the right place or at the right time so they could hear about Jesus. Even babies. Just because Adam and Eve ripped off a bit of fruit. Why should we suffer because of Adam and Eve, who probably didn't exist anyway? The law doesn't punish people for someone else's crimes. Why would God? These people believe that God is going to let everyone burn (for ever) who doesn't believe in Jesus, even if they never got a chance to hear about him. How could they be happy in heaven if their parents were burning for ever in hell? It seems to me that these people are really self-righteous and judgmental and that Jesus wouldn't have any time for them. In fact if he came back he'd probably get crucified again, because he probably wouldn't be what they expected and he would certainly be against the Iraq war imho.

Self-righteousness is a form of pride, and pride is one of the traditional seven deadly sins. It's a very common one among certain Christians, however.

Self-righteousness is NOT a virtue in anyone.

I'm not sure what not taking a bath has to do with eternal salvation..... Bit confused by that comment.

Babies and those not yet come to an age of accountability (I don't have the reference, and I'm too tired to find it, however I think this is 20yo going by the OT) are not condemned. As to those who have not heard the Gospel: only God knows what will happen. I do not presume to judge anybody!

It is quite possible that if Jesus returned in the flesh as a man once more that He would be crucified and rejected, however the Bible makes it clear that He will reappear in glory to claim His own. It's all there for anyone to read.

We are not to be self righteous. We are to love one another with the love that only Jesus Christ can give through us. If they have no love, then Jesus is not in them. .I was a sinner and didn't know it. It wasn't until the age of 38 that I had a Bible Study and realized what God was all about. He revealed Himself to me through His Word. Yes my friend, Adam and Eve were real people, and because of the actions of Adam, we are all condemned to die and be separated from our Creator. The Good News is that because Our Creator Himself came to this economy through the Virgin Birth, lived among us in the body of Jesus Christ, became the perfect sacrifice for all of our sins by His punishment, torture, humiliation, and crucifixion. He did this because only innocent blood can wash away sins. The best news is that three days later, He rose again and walked among us for forty days to prove that He defeated death. hell, and the grave. He did this to provide a way to for us to have what we were created for. which is everlasting life with Him. He doesn't want that any should perish, but that all should come to repentence. When we obey what is written in St John 3:5 and Acts 2:38, we will experience what is written in Acts 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:6, and St. Mark 16:16-17. We must do this because this is the way that God designed. There is no other way. When Jesus comes back, it will be to judge us. If we do not follow the path that He designed for salvation, we will have condemned ourselves to an eternal torment. The way for eternal life is here for us now. Now is the time for salvation. Experience it for yourself and I can guarantee that it will change your life for the better!! I did it and there is no more guilt, shame, or bad feelings. It is a wonderful existence.

Its God who will judge us when judgment comes whether you will go to heaven or hell on the 2nd coming of Jesus to earth..

Jesus will be not be crucified again , he will come not as a man but as God to judge us and nobody will know of his coming and will come as spirit and could not be seen.
My basis is the Bible, the New Testament.

The babies or children will be exonerated. Also the people who do not know the scripture will be exonerated but the non believers of God and those who hate God will probably go to the darkness.

Jesus wouldn't take a position on the war in Iraq. He was all about souls, one individual at a time. Babies go to Heaven because they are unable to comprehend their sin, as well as retards, idiots, imbeciles and brain-dead people. As for people who have never heard the Gospel, they have a ticket to Heaven as well because they can only be held accountable for what they know. I could quote the scriptures but I'm too lazy to go look them up.

No they're not Christian virtues. You know who had those virtues? The Pharisees. Jesus put them in their place. Don't judge others, Christians.

No this is not Christian virtue but it is a Jehovah Witness virtue. Try asking them why they go door to door it isn't because they see it as evangelisation. They are technically separating the righteous from the unrighteous in their travels door to door two by two that at least is what is taught and believed.

If we are not careful, all of us have the ability to let our pride and own self-righteousness takes us straight to the pits of hell regardless of faith! Me, you, and every other person on this earth!!

Have you been holding that in for a while? Sounds like you HAD to get that out. I thought I was going to see a question. But that is enjoyable reading. I agree with you.
