I think it is too. I do not want some huge viking lady kicking my butt today.

Truthfully we did not steal her holiday, we converted it. When our euro-pagan ancestors converted they still had the same festivals. Until 16th century Puritanism, all Christians could have fun without it being against their religion. Those that blame Constantine are misinformed. The people changed what they celebrated as they changed what they worshiped. It made perfect sense to them to retain the festivals and celebrate the Resurrection of Christ at the time the Earth is being resurrected. It was really the deepest sign of Love of Christ that the new converts of that day thought to do this.

Pastor Billy says: grow up, Christian Easter is connected to the Jewish Passover feast not a pagan festival that is the myth presented by some persons hoping to dismiss the reality of the Christian messiah.

Christianity existed before the conversion of northern European pagan barbarians from where this pagan myth originates and Christians had already been celebrating the resurrection of Christ during this period of the yearly calendar.

The origins of pagan simply means "from the country" and this was the last place converted to Christianity in Europe and beyond. Ostara may be a pagan deity but she is not celebrated in Christianity either is her festival stolen you need to get better educated and use a better argument with your intellect.

Ostara should be upset. She isn't. But she should be, since the religion who stole her used to kill people who celebrated her.

Shhh...if they find out, it'll spoil the plan to turn them pagan...;-)
First, eggs and bunnies. Next thing they know, they'll be dancing clockwise under the full moon and leaping over fires at midsummer! Hahaha!

I assume that you are referring to some pagan God. Who used to use this day as a feast?

Did you know that Easter is what is called a "movable feast day". It is based on the Jewish feast of passover. And the Jewish calender has a different amount of days in it than the Julian calendar that we use.

Therefore Easter will be on a totally different day next year. We, as Christians try to celebrate the feast of the Resurrection(Our highest Holy day). As close to Passover as possible as this is our closest guess as to when Jesus died and Rose from the dead.

Jesus life and death not only redeemed all who will receive Him, but the day as well.
