Hi, there's a health check-up at school on April 25th. That gives me around a bit over 2 weeks to lose a bit of weight.
During March, I started to drink a lot of milk in order to grow a bit taller (=D success! I grew 1 cm). But because of all my milk drinking, I gained like 7 pounds in a month. Anyways, I found out about the health check-up and now I want to lose weight. I do a regular amount of exercise a day, I eat basically health food, and my like 5 cups of milk. Is there any way to lose my 7 pounds that I gained in 2 weeks? And how? Stop eating? Stop drinking milk? Please don' t suggest more exercise cause I'm so busy with school work nowadays I hardly have time to get out. I try to do yoga and like walking though. And two times a week, I do jump ropes for 45 minutes...
Please help me!
All help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Ah. Another important thing... I also tend to eat quite a bit (like... half a plate) of food at night (

It all depends, are you looking to get a perminant weight loss solution or is this for prom? If your are looking for perminance check with your doctor. I personally do TaeBo 3-4 days a week for an hour a day. If its for prom try eating light salads with low fat dressing, baked or grilled chicken, fish, steamed veggies, fresh fruits, and moderate exersize. An drink lots of water. When I was getting ready for my prom I lost two dress sizes in two weeks on the slim fast diet so thats something to look into as well!

I struggled with my weight for the last 15 years. I've tried plenty of diets and can sum up what worked for me: 1. Drink plenty of water (over 40 oz/day). This actually DOES help with weight loss. 2. Calorie intake must be monitored and you need to use more than you take in. 3. Eat six small meals or 3 and 3 snacks to keep your blood sugar from diving and will help you from being tempted to eat the wrong things. 4. WRITE EVERYTHING you eat down. It not only makes you aware, it helps you stop and choose. 5. Eat lots of protein. Protein makes you feel full longer. 6. Eat lots of veggies, and some fruit. The fiber will help and it will make you feel a little fuller. 7. Don't start the day with carbs. Carbs create a rise and fall in blood sugar and it sets you up for failing later. It'll make you hungry later. In fact, if you cut your carbs way down, your body will take the fat from your midsection first. There is actually a program called Ideal Protein that can help re-set your pancreas and break the carb cycle. I lost 4 lbs a week on it and it really does reset. That helped me re-enter the lifestyle of normal eating and not gain the weight back quickly. And NO - I'm not selling it. :) I did, however, lose about 40 lbs on that diet. 7. Find an accountability partner. Measure your results.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Balance your meals... try sparkpeople.com they have a free on line service and you keep track of what you eat, how often you eat and they make suggestions, they have councilors and all that and chat rooms try it it might help they suggest always to increase your water, cut your soda totally, milk is good if its 2 percent or skim... don't stop drinking milk its good for your bones, look at the other junk food or other items that you are over eatting.... also look at sugar, and salt.
If you cut back on salt shakers, and sugar you can loose 5 lbs in on week just by increasing the water you drink. and cutting back on the other stuff... and exercise is important the more steps you take the more walking more you will loose provided you don't gorge yourself with candy bars and fritos or chips... give this a break for the two weeks
Also sleep is important... you need at least 7 to 8 hours...
good luck.. but don't stop eatting... because your body will go into shut down, you will get shaky and week and its not worth it.

First off, milk does not make you grow taller it only helps to strengthen your bones. You woud have grown that 1cm even if you didn't drink that much milk. Don't get me wrong, milk is very good for you! Try switching to low fat or skim as it doesn't have the fat that whole milk contains, but has all the same nutrients. Cardio is the only way to burn fat at LEAST 30 minutes every day. It has to be enough to get your heart rate up. Good luck! Hope this helps.

Its too late, you waited too long, there is nothing you can do. Dont bother rying to starve it off either, or you will be back in here asking how you lose 20 pounds of fat. Eat well, and you wont have this problem, and dont wait until you have only 2 weeks before another checkup, thats is just plain silly.

Milk does not help you to grow. They give the cows hormones to fatten them up and then they fatten you up when you drink milk. See site below for fast ways to lose weight.
