God did not do the killing.
The time has arrived for that dead man to die.
However in Exodus 3l:15, it was ordered by Moses that anybody who will disobey the law of God regarding the Sabbath day which is the seventh day of the week and considered holy by the Lord and who will do his work on that day of Sabbath will be killed as his punishment for not obeying. It was not the order of God but Moses. and that is a covenant between Moses and the Israel people.
That practice has been declared by Jesus as null and void at this time. In short, the covenant has ceased to exist.

This only applied to the Jews and is an old Jewish law - The Mosaic Law. The Jews were people brought up to the truth about God, Jehovah and as God had demonstrated his power to them by freeing them from Egyptian bondage of slavery and humiliating the Egyptians gods by causing the plagues to the land and eventually giving the Jews their successful escape from the Egyptians by even parting the Red Sea and killing their pursuing enemies they had absolutely no valid reason to doubt Jehovah about anything. They were a witness to his power and kept word. Had anyone who was responsible enough to know that should they disobey a command of God then they were showing complete and utter lack of care and total disobedience to his law. It would be an shun against Jehovah and deserving of death (other Jews did the slaying of the guilty one). The Sabbath was set as a sacred day of worship to Jehovah God if you were an ancient Jew.

You're not a father, are you.
A father may have great love for his children, yet still set up a few rules.
In fact, those rules are a demonstration of his love.
A child raised without some guidelines grows into a wild person.
God's law re sabbath was super simple to follow.
Anyone going against it could not claim it was too difficult to follow.
It would be, rather, an act of rebellion.
The question should really be:
Why would anyone want to rebel against a God of love?

Because anyone who does not work 6 days and rest for one day is killing themselves and their family anyway, we are just hurrying the process along :)
Just kidding ... remember that Jesus also said "the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath".

Because it was considered, a day of rest. Because God rested on the 7th day, after his creation.
And he wanted those he created, to remember that day. And not disrespect. it.
Also give thanks to God (him) for allowing them, the peace and tranquility they have.
So they will know it was God who gave all of it to them. And not think they are above God. Also it was a different place and time. but the jews, have to still obey that rule. It dosen't apply to every human. only Gods chosen people.

Oh that's OK, they are killed lovingly. Like when you stone your kids or massacre everyone including livestock in cities where one man is found worshiping another god.

Jesus ,in time abolished that old law,and it was one of the reasons he ran into trouble with the religious leaders at that time. They were continuing to burden their followers with impossible ,outdated laws.--Good ques.

The bible is proof that, if God were real, he would not be confused for love.
