Yes, I do. However, I try to keep an open mind. It's just a whole new generation of technology users, driven by the widespread use of cell phones for written communication.
I still find myself being elitist sometimes, falling into the whole, "MAN, these people are stupid! Why the heck can't they spell?" mindset again.

A lot of the time I do. Fair enough in a text message, you've got a fairly low character limit, but I really think there's no need for it here. More often than I avoid text talk questions, I avoid the ones with woeful spelling or the ones whose question heading is something too vague for my liking like "Please help" or "What does this mean?"

You are way too dependent on other people for your own happiness and sense of normality. You need to snap out of it and get over all these little girls. You are doing yourself no favors here. Get over it and get to know yourself. You shouldn't need another girl to make you feel normal again, your words. That's rather ridiculous to be honest. So ill say it again, move on from these girls and get to know you again. Feel comfortable with you. You will never have any successful fulfilling relationship until you can do this. You are like a serial monogamist or something. Just take a break, for your own good.

Definitely agree with you there, especially when it comes to computer & any technical terms, like in instructions, tutorials, replies from so-called help teams. How can you follow their advice if you don't even know what all these abbreviations stand for?!

I avoid them...i find it very hard to understand them and yes it takes twice as long to read them. I think it's a way of hiding poor spelling!

YES, it does defeat the purpose! As soon as I realize I'm reading a question like that I click the back button....same goes for 3 or more misspelled words, really broken English and ebonics...like "dis" and "dat" and "da" instead of this, that and the...so annoying.

Yes I do.
I find it difficult enough to understand some poorly written questions, without needing to translate from text talk.

Yes, I try to avoid them. I find myself getting angry when trying to understand what looks to me like gibberish.

I understand them but I find them annoying, so yes, I tend to skip them. Soon no one will be able to spell at all!

I had n't realised but I do.Some obvious ones don't bother me but mostly I can't be bothered with them.I regard my time on here as a pleasure not a trial.
