I can see I have to add additional information because the idiot clan is out today. Easter is used in the English language for the name of the Pashal Feast day. The universal Christian name for the resurrection of Christ in the west is Dominica Resurrectionis.

Now all you atheists go find something else to complain and argue about, Christians do not celebrate something pagan. If you guys had half a brain you'd realise the original meaning of pagan of to be of or from the country also!

Christian Easter is connected to the Jewish Passover feast not any pagan festival that is the myth presented by some persons. Christianity existed before the conversion of northern European barbarians from where this pagan myth originates and Christian were already celebrating the resurrection of Christ during this period of the yearly calendar.

Easter or Ostara is a pagan celebration. Jesus died on the Passover of Nisan 14. The Passover this year is (April 2nd) and the risen from death anniversary would of been on Wednesday (April 4th 2007) those are the biblically correct times.
Christendom moved the dates to coincide with a pagan festival hence the merging of pagan with christendom such as a time when people who go to church give their children easter eggs and chocolate bunnies. Kind of scary when you think about it as the eggs and bunnies are symbols of fertility to the godess Ostara which the celebration of Easter is actually for.

The Jewish Passover doesn't always coincide starting on Friday on the Julian calender (calander we now use) like they make Good Friday to be. The Passover on Nisan 14 falls on different days on our calander each year. This year it was actually on Monday 2nd April - a day much of christendom didn't recognise. Further more it is the death of Christ that was intentionally to be remembered. His death as a sinless obedient servant of God was the price that bought all faithful followers the opportunity of everlasting life. His sacrifice was to be remembered.

I don't like to celeberate this B'cause Easter has nothing to do with Christ or true Christians.

Easter is the pre-Jesus period celeberation of paganic people from Athens and Rome or some other parts of the world. Astharode is the real name of the Ester.

so I have nothing to do with this Astherode.

How many of those brothers would like to celebrate Ostara with us? Do I sound like I am complaining? Did I say something about some having "half a brain"?

Jesus, if he existed, is a dead guy. Christianity, like all religions, is just an organized superstition.

And in any case, Christians just stole this holiday from farmers who were just celebrating the coming of spring. That's why there are so many fertility symbols in it. Love is in the air.

PRAISE GOD, JESUS is ALIVE, he arose from Death, hell and the Grave and he lives. I believe as a preacher that the greatest evidence is that We are hear today with the opportunity for sins to be forgiven, because Christ died that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Jesus paid it all so we can have life. That my friend is awesome. God is Awesome. I serve a RISEN SAVIOR.
