This tends to reduce the frequency of valuable traits such as altruism and kindness possessed to a greater degree by the religious people. The precious traits owned by unmarried geniuses are also in the decrease over the generations.

Illustrious people do not always produce equally remarkable offspring as you had assumed, not even close. Just look at the children of Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Harry Truman, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Horatio Nelson, Napoleon Bonaparte...All mediocre and did not measure up to their fathers.

On the other hand, while giants like Mahatma Gandhi and Ho Chi Minh did not have any children of their own, their spiritual offspring, who number in the millions, carried forward their ideas and ideals into the future and their deaths were not the end of their legacies.

As for the Catholic priests, many of them are homosexuals and pedophiles anyway so there are no great losses to humanity by their supposed "celibacy". Unfortunately, some of them secretly carried on love affairs that produce illegitimate and guild-laden children who have to live in shame and regrets for the rest of their lives.

The only legitimate blessing celibate priests have ever performed has been to keep themselves out of the gene pool. I only wish the non-celibate priests could have had the sense to do the same.

why would you want to compensate for those idiots?....however your question does pose an interesting theory....during the middle ages,the only way for a smart Gentile male to proceed from poverty to an educated man was to enter the priesthood,so thousands did...and the bloodline stopped with them in most cases....for a Jewish male in the same situation,he entered the "Rabbihood" for lack of a better word...except Rabbi's are allowed to marry and procreate...so the best of their brightest continued on...so who's was the best way to go?

Celebrities are celibate? Surely you jest. Most so-called celebrities are promiscuous rather than being celibate. The genetic deteriorattion of the human race is not caused by celibacy. It is caused by the white race down breeding with blacks resulting in a homogenized race of inferior beings.
