that makes them allergic to cats. I'm wanting to know why it skipped me? Why don't I share that gene w/ my sisters and they are allergic to cats and I'm not? I was allergic to my grandparents cat when I was 13 but that lasted for like a day or 2.

Me and my sister.
I love music (my dad's gene)
She loves reading (my mum's gene)
I have blonde hair (my grandmother's gene)
She has brown hair (my mum's and my dad's gene)
I have green eyes (my dad's gene)
She has blue eyes (my mum's gene)
We both have big arses (dunno where we got that one from - but we both do)

You were just lucky: Genes do that at time. You just got a different combination of genes from your sisters. As for being allergic to your grandparents' cat only a day or two, I'm not so sure that was an allergy. Allergies tend to be long-term things, though sometimes it is possible to outgrow them. But whatever it was, I'm glad you're over it!
