Teasing is just one of the ways for guys to get the attention of a girl. Also, guys (just some of them) feel being "powerful" when their actions affect the opposite sex in any manner.
Guys have insecurities too and they need to feed their ego every so often.

Because girls take everything so seriously. We try to get you to lighten up and have some fun with this one and only life you're gonna have. Because we got the hots for ya! It's a thing from our childhood that never leaves us. Teasing is just one of the ways for guys to get the attention of a girl. The last time I teased a girl was in elementary school. Back then we weren't really sure why we hated this girl, but now it's pretty obvious. She was stunning even at that age. She was easily the prettiest girl in the school. So all the boys automatically disliked her for that, maybe she triggered some pre-pubescent signal in us and we didn't understand it. I once got caught throwing tanbark at her with some other guys, and I had to apologize to her the next day in front of the class. It's actually a hilarious story, because when I was in 9th grade her father was a substitute teacher for one of my classes, and as he was going through the attendance, he saw my name and said many years ago his daughter came home from school and cried all day saying that I had thrown tanbark at her. Awkward situation, but I just laughed and shook my head and said, "it was a long time ago..." I think he forgave me.

the reason why guys teas girls is because there eather around friends and they all think its great to tease girls or that the guy or guys doing the teasing may like you bust dont want to show it infront of his friends or it could be because the guys are just plane mean and they think its fun to tease a girl or anyone they dislike

Bcoz it might be the only way they found to get ur attention. or in bed it's always good to tease the girl so she would feel that she wants it more.
