Its called bruxism, it will eventually cause the teeth to gring so much that the neves become exposed and starts becoming painfull. Best thing to do is go to the dentist. They may be able to provide a protective covering like a plastic cover for the teeth when sleepng like what the boxers wear. This will help stop damage to the teeth and the awfull grinding sound
Does she have very straight and flat teeth

You are so in luck. I almost divorced my husband for this same reason- snoring and teeth grinding are all part of stress and blockage in the nasel passage. Now they have over-the-counter remedies for people who grind their teeth and snore.
The StressGard⢠was developed to address the needs of those who grind and/or clench their teeth. Dental experts estimate that close to 20% of the adult population suffers from the effect of grinding and clenching at any given time with an estimated 20-50% of the population suffering from Bruxing.
You can purchase one of these for about $10.95 . Check your local pharamicist. Good luck.

Maybe you could suggest her getting a mouth guard from the dentist because it is understandably annoying to you AND it will be good for your friend as if she is grinding teeth then eventually she will likely have jaw pain (tmj). Better to nip it in the bud now!

well i happen to do something quite similar to that. i however clinch my jaw while i sleep. it's caused from anxiety , nervousness. and maybe other reasons. but i would say anxiety. she may have a lot of stress in her life. and stress can cause all kinds of physical problems. they do have something that she can get so she can't do it while she's asleep. she should go to the dentist and see what he or she advises. there's a medical term for it but i can't think of it right now.

No idea what the cause for it might be.. but there is no doubt that is it bad for your teeth/jaw .. there are specially designed mouthguards out there for this sort of thing.. they aren't as bulky as the regular ones for sports use.. and are softer so they wont be disruptive to sleep.. yours or hers :)

according to homeopathic grinding teeth is due to worms in stomach. any type of worm can be killed and removed from stomach by eating one medium size raw tomato, of normal room temperature, on empty for one week
