Yes - according to Aristotle in Metaphysics - God is the first cause - he kicks off the whole shooting match & yes - dependent upon your belief
there are still many more things between heaven & Earth than we understand
or as Bill & Ted said when they misquoted Socrates in their excellent journey -

When "God" is conveniently defined as the "mysterious creating power behind the origin of the universe" or similar, then yes, by definition, God is responsible.

There are no gods, so one of them couldn't have created the universe. You cannot communicate with a fictional being.

Do you think the universe and our world happened by chance? Have you heard of the theory of irreducible complexity? Our world and our universe is so complex they could not have "evolved" by chance. Only an Intelligent Designer could have done it.
