Had similar experience before. All I can say is to try changing your attitude toward things. Rather than thinking doing certain things/activities would make you happy, try to think you are happy to do what you do. Instead of having things change your outlook, change your own outlook as a conscieous decision. Also acting happy all the time does not hurt either, the happier you act, the better you might feel. Before you know it, you don't have to act anymore. Also, if you feel you need it, you can always talk to a psychiatrist about taking medication.
Nothing is out of your reach as long as you work hard toward it. Good luck to you.

Um....just an observation ....You have pretty much put yourself through some amazingly stressful situations here......all these things would have even the strongest and happiest person emotionally frazzled...Um and you wonder why you cant put a smile on your face? Firstly i would suggest slowing down, trying to relax and taking some time to unwind & recharge your batteries.....if after doing these for a good few weeks and you still dont feel any better within yourself, i would suggest going and talking to your doctor, i would normally suggest seeing the doc straight away, but it really seems as though you have been putting yourself under alot of stress in your quest for happiness, we may think these changes will make us happy, but truthfully putting ourselves through this amount of radical changes can sometimes make things worse as our poor body struggles to cope......Try pampering yourself, Spa Baths, aromatherapy massages etc If you dont start feeling better then maybe all the changes are a symptom and not a cause.....and your doc can help you, i do hope that this was of help and wish you much luck and kind thoughts x

happiness is a state of mind , it's something you have to choose daily , sometimes people are happy when things are going well, but i found out one can be happy even when things go wrong , and when things do go wrong , to make me unhappy i just focus my attention on what it felt like when i was happy , the feelings that i have when i'm happy and i just act that way in reguardless of the negative vibes that i feel when i'm unhappy. to master this state of mind comes with pratice , but i promise you if you do it , you'll find yourself not in a rut as much.

I had the same problem before. U should talk to Mental Health and Retarderation Services or something like that. U can talk to them about whatever u want and they have really good staff members and stuff. They will listen to u and stuff and they will try to fix the problem or whatever your having.

I don't know but when you find the answer email it to me. I would love to know. I think a lot depends on if people look up to you or not. I think if you are liked it makes a person feel worthwhile. I also think that if you like yourself other will too.

dont place happiness on too high a pedestal, try to be patient with yourself, and try to enjoy what you have. you wont snap out of it overnight, i didnt.
you are most likely aware, you have depression. talk to a psychiatrist, think about medication and dont give up.
the good doesnt exist without the bad

fill your house with happy things, things that make you laugh, eat healthy, do things that make you feel good, read comedic books. socialise with friends. maybe you just need something exciting to happen in you life, happy, new or an adventure. thats wat its like for me all the time. look for opportunities, they will come.
just being just like that you say?
find a lover?
mayb you can get one of those things that they put in ur brain the makes u happy! lol

love your self.... loving oneself helps alot... Every morning wake up look at ur self an say good morning beautiful!!!!!
u will smile when u are happy.... smiling is not difficult... its easy one needs to pratice it regularly... i have some more tips if u want....!!!
