More details needed! Is it really terrible liquidy diarrhoea? How long has it been going on for? Any other signs of illness? These are all questions a vet would ask - which is maybe where your dog needs to go!
If it's only just begun today, and isn't profuse/doesn't have blood in it, perhaps you could try small amounts of a bland diet (chicken/rice). If there's no improvement tomorrow, definitely time for the vets.
Everyone will start blaming the recalled food, but this as I understand it caused kidney failure, of which diarrhoea is not an initial symptom.

Hi,
I used to have an alaskan malamute with the same problem. More than likely it is a food or alergy problem. My dog used to be allergic to pork. I found that in dogs like huskies or malamutes, the dry food Eukaneuba is still the best. Although a little expensive, it is worth it in the end, as with constand loose stool, your dog will end up suffering from anal gland problems, so better spend a little more on his dindins than on having to cure him at the vets.
Hope this has been of help.
Take care.

Make sure his food hasn't been recalled. Have you changed his food? This can cause the situation also. Feed him a diet of boiled chicken and rice. This will bind and the situation will stop. Slowly introduce dog food back into his diet. Mix small amounts into the chickent & rice increasing little by little until he's on straight dog food.

Try a rice and lamb based dry food. That is coomon in Siberian Huskies, I think because they are so high strung.

Either that is from some bad food (I know of some that have been recalled) or he ate some oil. Is it a female that just gave birth? That could also be the cause(the placentas can cause that). Check with the vet because it could be something more serious. In fact, the food recalled has actually caused one dog to die(so far that I have heard).

have you changed its food
has he been sniffing the hedge rows
go to the vets for a shot.
but before you do this is your pet insured if so just go if not and you are considering insuring the dog do it before you it only takes a second. reason being if the dog record show tummy problems insurers always think the worst like intestinal problem and exclude it from the policy even though it might only be a bug,
they did it to me Regards

it could be a bug, or maybe he has picked up and ate something whilst he was out, if it goes on longer than three days a trip to the vets should sort him out.
