I am also Italian living abroad. After extensive traveling during my youth (parents' working reasons), I did my Univeristy degree in Rome, then left again to France for my PhD, then 7 years of Scotland, UK and now I am in Austria, Vienna.
I also loved UK so much - and met the love of my life (an Englishman!). There is so little bureaucracy when compared to the rest of Europe! (Baglioni cantava "Viva l'Inghilterra, no?)

Buona Pasqua a te!

I live in a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic , so you should like it here. I have spent happy Easters in Italy, a country which I love. Perhaps we could arrange a swap? Buona Pasqua!
