The mind essentially. Without consciousness nothing else matters. Also our beliefs cannot be warranted without justification of some sort, Paul's famous "For I know in whom I have believed and that He is faithful and just ..." That kind of trust is built on experience. True love is based on a sure foundation. The heart is won when the head is straight.

Neither. The mind searches for the truth. The heart searches for beauty. The soul uses the Will-- it's a choice that neither regards truth nor beauty-- but only true happiness.

beliefs are strengthened by the heart... and they then govern the mind... the mind discriminates and lets the heart run its course. It is best not to contradict the heart, the mind is capable of abuse, but not the heart. Beliefs are like tar, difficult to wash away.

We must humble ourselves and approach our God with our heart and Spirit for the Holy Spciptures state that we must worship God in Spirit and Truth.
John 4:23 - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

I use my mind and my heart, but in the end emotions are not trustworthy and reason can be faulty, so I rely on my mind to keep my heart in check, and my heart to keep my mind in check.

A believer believes with the heart... the truth is told with the mind, you won't find believers using their minds....

I think we use both. I also think society in general helps us form our beliefs. So neither has the upper hand.

Unfortunately you all use you heart. And people cant think with their heart. It is not an organ capable of thought. You should try using your mind and you would see what nonsense it all is.
