It is not bad to eat after 7 PM. The warnings against doing so are misinformation.
If your last meal in the evening is at 7 PM, and your first meal the next day is at 7 AM, you just went 12 hours without eating. You will definitely in starvation mode and it will adversely affect your metabolism.
If you are hungry after, 7 PM, then eat something.

It is only bad if you are prone to gaining some # and it is only bad if you have a sensitive digestive system. And it is only bad if you have a bad heart. And it is only bad if you eat and get really full you will get heart burn. And it is only bad if you eat late and then go to sleep and the food was bad food and it made you sick, and threw up all over your boyfriend. But then again you could turn all the clocks back a few hours and stay up a little longer.. And then it might be ok....jello is ok

I don't think there is any specific reason. Usually your suppose to consume most of your calories when your most active. So if you're relatively active around 7 then you should be fine. The only other reason I could think as to why that's bad is your metabolism. If you eat too late then your metabolism kicks in and you have no way to use the energy your metabolism just created.

I'm not an expert, but it's because once it gets that late and you start to go to sleep. Your body starts to shutdown and you still have food in your stomach and so forth. Instead of digesting it properly, its instead being turned into fat. Don't take that information to heart, cause I just think thats about how it works. It's not a bad thing...but I wouldnt make a habit of it.

Based on the after 6 diet, "you can lose weight eating whatever you want and as much as you want, as long as you stop eating at 6 PM. It is based on the belief that any calories consumed in the evening go straight to fat storage while you sleep."

Eating later than 7pm is ok if you sleep at least 3 hours later. Taking heavy supper before bed is main cause of intestinal cancer because food stay in your intestine longer when you are lying own.

When you eat, your stomach produces more acid ... in order to break down the food. When you lay down soon after eating, the stomach acid may enter your esophagus and damage the lining ... over time. This can lead to permanent damage to the esophagus and result in chronic heart-burn and stomach problems.
