Leave the guy alone. You don;t know him and you don't understand what he is going through so there is no possible way that you can help. And trust me telling an adult and getting him sent away is just gonna make thigs worse.

It would seem like the best thing to do would be to tell a teacher or whatever and that probably is but I am a cutter and i know the last thing i would want is for school to be told so they can tell my parents. Look befriend the guy and then ask him about it. Help him quit but don't rat him out. unless it gets really really bad like considering suicide bad.

this disorder is called borderline personality disorder. It is a serious disorder and requires medication and therapy. I have it and it has taken years to get under control. Cutting is usually done when the individual is depressed or under a great deal of stress. As far as what you should do.....I don't know as you say you don't know them personally, my suggestion would be to alert a teacher or the school therapist, as this is nothing to take lightly.....

Report him to a school authority because situations like this often escalate to suicide.Self mutilation IS NOT NORMAL !! The authorities will refer this person to the appropriate agency for help !!

Tell the school counselor, and let them handle it from there. I'm glad you are courageous enough to get involved. Many people wouldn't bother to consider the fact that he may need help.

Just let her be. Just imagine her situation. The cutting is the only thing that feels real.

You don't need to know him. All you need to do is bring it to the attention of the school counselor or a trusted teacher. They will know what to do to get him help.

Is there a teacher or some adult there you trust? An adult who knows what is going on and really cares can get alot done.

Tell a school counselor or nurse anonymously. That's what I'd do.

Hope this helps!
