Ok, so I go to ASU, and there are always REALLY REALLY religious guys trying to preach to us about how if we don't repent now we will burn in hell for eternity, blah, blah, blah, etc. and so forth. Well one of the guy was holding a sign and it said, and i quote "sex attracts mormons" wtf? that's the kind of stuff that makes christians look crazy, i mean i'm religious, i go to church every sunday, say my prayers before food and bed and you know try not to kill too many people (i'm being sarcastic for those who can't take a joke) but what makes people go to such measures to try and convince the youth? Do they think it actually works?

Sadly lots of people of faith have been taught that the best way to lead someone into a life of faith is to scare them. As a Christian I find this puzzling since it is an approach Jesus virtually never took. When he got angry it's almost always with leaders of the people who have failed to serve their people. The rest is love. So I would submit that their approach is fundamentally and theologically unsound.

Equally sad is the hang up we've developed about sex. In virtually any form. Again, Jesus has very little to say on the subject, yet somehow it has been elevated to a central issue in the faith by some. Our best response to this is simply to care for and respect one another. As long as we do that we should always remain in appropriate sexual relationships.

These idiots are getting their information from anti-Mormons, who get most of their information from this guy, Ed Decker. He is the one who says that Mormons believe such drek as "God had sex with mary to conceive Christ, that, in the Celestial Kingdom, men will have "endless Celestial sex" and that women are to be eternally pregnant, giving birth to spirit BABIES, changing their little nappies full of spirit poop, and all that stuff.

That, plus them thinking that plural marriage was only practiced so that "dirty old men" like Brigham Young had an endless supply of "fresh women" to slake his sexual lusts, and you have a recipe for ignoramouses like that guy to hold up such an offensive sign.
