I think it it best to use a lighter weight and more reps (not faster).

awe man i feel the same way everyone has a different way.
first: let me say this if you read 10 books you will find 10 work outs. all different and different routines too. geees

as for me and my brother we mix it up keep the body and muscles in mass confusion. for max results
we do heavy weights for a week low reps, 1-3 sets
we do mid range weights for a week max reps-3-5 sets
we do low weights lots of reps 5 sets
mix in abs, backs and some cardio depends where we are in the cycle.
note we swap all this up for about 6 weeks and then take off a few weeks of the weights, suppliments and do cardio.
then find new weight lifting exersises and start a new cycle.

I would not say faster but rather when using heavy to mid weights. we use a timing method where you have a spotter to assist you to lift off the rest then we go thru a kinda count down to bring the weight down and then explode at the bottom to get a different result than just pumping iron.
I say mix it up and keep it fun! and the shorties will come running!!!

there's a lot of inaccurate information on that web page and some is just out right incorrect.

Craig Ballantyne, C.S.C.S is a joke and basically a liar. he claims to be a "world renowned" strength coach yet he can barely bench his body weight in real life.

lifting light weights very quickly will guarantee that your physique stays the same year after year with minimal increases in strength and/or muscle mass

more weight and less reps will build muscle bulk, less weight and more reps will rippen and gain endurance, you shouldnt really go fast while lifting weights, really the slower the better for heavy weights

The more weight, and the less reps = muscle building.
The less weight, and the more reps = calorie burning
