I am a 5'5 13 year old girl who is 105lbs. Being a growing teenager do I need to consume more calories than a BMR calculator says I should? How much should I be eating in the first place?

Special Message to my friends who like to answer my questions while missing the whole concept: Please don't answer this I am not going on a diet and I don't think I'm fat. So don't tell me to eat more when I eat 10 times more than you.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

dont count calories burned off - because you actually dont know it precisely. count time doing cardio.

The BMR calculator shows the calories you burn by simply existing. Since you are growing, and especially if you are active, you need more calories than that.

There are other charts online that will tell you how many calories to eat to maintain your present weight or to reach a certain weight. You should add a few to that figure because you are light for your height.

I'm glad you're not planning on dieting and that you're not obsessed about being skinny.

Madi, you DONT eat ten times more than me. I eat ten times more than you. Like for example, right now I am eating a sandwich. I already ate lunch though. So you dont eat ten times more than any other your friends...

You should be consuming about 2000 calories a day. That is HEALTHY and what you NEED to consume..... Not like you were doing around December, you only ate 600 calories which was Dangerously unhealthy.

2000 calories may seem like alot, but it adds up over the day.

according to mypyramid.gov (the ufda's assessment for the nation):

on days you work out and burn cals, 2200

on days you dont exercise, 1800

you can go and enter in the data yourself if you want to double check.
