Usually it's because they:
1. May have had an inadequate experience of Jesus Christ.
2. Are inexperienced believers, and so have not studied archaeology or historical documentation.
3. Do not realise that non-believers may not see tha Bible in the same way as them.
4. Are regurgitating things that their pastor says rather than examining the evidence for themselves.
On the other hand, many people do not even consider the possibility that the Bible (the majority of which is the Jewish Tanakh) could actually be right. Blind doubt is as bad as blind faith. However, intelligent doubt is just as commendable as intelligent faith.

It's like being in a kids' club...y'know, safety in numbers? I think the term is "the willing suspension of disbelief". I on the other hand think it's another form of idolatry. The same as the crucifix. I know people who can quote Shakespeare just as readily.

Wow...how fantastically original! Are you that insecure in your own beliefs that a few differing ones might change your mind? Scared of other ideas messing up your little world? Uh oh...maybe you should start a book burning rally and drive everyone who doesn't think like you off the planet. Yep, that's the answer. God forbid if anyone decides that they believe in God or the flying spaghetti monster. We should all totally think like you because you're obviously tolerant, educated and capable of making an intelligent statement without sounding like a moron. Why hasn't anyone tapped you to become their Messiah?

Why do you think we are mind-controlling or mindless drones?
If you knew anything about the Christian religion, you would know that our religion is about faith. It is not our place to question the teachings of Jesus, just to follow them. If you choose not to, then thats on your head, but it is our right to choose to follow God.

You don't know what mind-controlling is, unless you are a mind-controller or have studied mind-control. Have you? You are using mind-control and being used by mind-controllers, and you would know that you were if you weren't controlled by them to the extent that you don't even care to find out the truth about Christianity instead of just repeating things you've picked up that support the processing your mind has been put through.

It's what they believe, so that's all there is to it. Just as you believe or don't believe in something...it is everyone's perogative to do so. One could say atheists who try to sway people to 'not believe' in God are just as guilty of mind-controlling.
I am not a religious person, but I do not condone ANY group to try to convert or persuade others to think the same way if it becomes obsessive and controlling.
