I didn't have to do anything before getting my wisdom teeth removed. However, after getting them pulled out, you have to be on liquids for a few days because your mouth and face will be swollen, to eat anything. Try to take one week off from school/work, because it takes a week for the swelling to completely go down. Some people also take pain killers to alleviate the pain. Remember to have someone with you to drive you back home, since u'll feel dizzy for a few hours after the surgery. Good luck!

You shouldn't eat about 12 hours before, sometimes drinking is restricted. Figure out which painkillers you need to ask for/avoid and let the dentist know so he can get you the right meds. Afterwards, take the day off of work and probably the next. Have frozen damp rags ready as a cold compress just in case.
Diet: Soft food. Eat malt o meal, ice cream and avoid drinking from a straw. Small sandwiches are good too if it's soft. Avoid alcohol and take it easy.
Good luck!

I had 2 wisdom teeth removed last year, but my dentist didn't tell me about eating anything specific before hand. Are you going to be put under for it? I wasn't, so maybe that was why. But I would suggest things like soup, jello, etc. You'll be eating those kind of things for a few days afterwards too.

After the anesthesia wears off, watch out for the pain. Have some strong painkillers on hand, the doctor should prescribe them anyway and be prepared to miss work for a couple of days.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled out 3 months age. I didn't have to do anything before. My dentist gave me a couple of shots that hurt like hell but that was it. I was sore for 2 days. (really sore that night). They will give you instructions when you leave

seriously not even kidding, eat lots of pineapples in the days leading up to the operation ad once they get pulled out drink lots and lots of pineapple juice. this will reduce pain and you will have almost no swelling at all.
it sounds crazy, but I promise it works.

I would go to a different doctor, if they didn't tell you any of this. Prepare for pain...
