I have been working on a temporary work permit in Canada and planning to marry my partner who is Canadian. At this point, I was wondered if anybody knows how long does it nornally take to get a Canadian PR?
Thanks very much!

Permanent Residency is not given "on the spot".
Once you marry, you can live in Canada on a visitor visa while processing your PR applications. Once you get a certain ways through the process, you should be able to get a temp work permit with no problem.

In general, a PR processed while you are living in Canada will take 9-12 months. It takes 12-18 months if being processed from outside the country. All times are estimates.

The Canadian Immigration website contains all this information, including timelines.
