No.

Catholics believe that from the moment of conception until natural death, each human being is endowed by God with dignity and rights.

You shall not kill. (Ex 20:13; cf. Deut 5:17)

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. (Jer 1:5; cf. Job 10:8-12; Ps 22:10-11)

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth. (Ps 139:15)

Early Church writings: You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish. (Didache 2, 2: SCh 248, 148; cf. Ep. Barnabae 19, 5: PG 2, 777; Ad Diognetum 5, 6: PG 2, 1173; Tertullian, Apol. 9: PL 1, 319-320)

With love in Christ.

I'm pro choice. I don't believe abortion should be used as a form of birth control by any means but, I don't think it should be outlawed. If it is, women will find a way to do it and risk dying to obtain these illegal abortions. I personally could never have an abortion. Then again, I haven't walked in everyone's shoes. Some women see no other alternative sometimes. That being said, I think it's a personal and probably a painful choice that any woman has to make. Ultimately, that's between her and God or whatever is running the universe.

I say that the people who want to ban it forever should do the honorable thing and adopt these kids. Most are more interested in imposing their will on others than actually being concerned with the whole living being issue. If they are that concerned, they'd raise these kids themselves. Funny though, you never see them complaining about how many children go unadopted. I guess the life only matter inside the womb and after that, it's the goverments problem. Go figure.

I am against it! I don't care what people will say about this but abortion is quite simply killing an innocent not yet born human being! People say it is the woman's body well it is not the woman's body that is being done away with! It is the small body that is inside of the woman, that is being riped from the womb. These small innocent lives are smothered, dismembered, burned, crushed and they are not anesthetized! It has been proved that they feel pain have heartbeats and have the hiccup's, as well as suck their little thumbs, at less than 2 months along! It is better to use some form of birth control. Abortion is not birth control! But sadly it is being used as birth control!

Abortion may occasionally be necessary to save the mother or after rape, but most abortions are merely for the convenience of a mother who deliberately got pregnant and then changed here mind about wanting the child. These abortions are immoral.

Unless they live in a third-world country and have absolutely no education, everyone knows that unprotected sex has a high probability of leading to a pregnancy. If you don't want to get pregnant, either don't have sex or be damn sure that you are taking enough other precautions to prevent a pregnancy. Failing to take precautions is a deliberate act and when it leads to pregnancy, you can't play dumb and pretend that you didn't know it was going to happen.

People generally agree that shooting your pet dog is immoral. Unborn humans should have at least as many rights as our dogs do. If you don't want the dog, don't get one. If you don't want the child, don't get pregnant.

YES

Now your dear God fearing friends will belabor you with long and lengthy explanations about how abortion is murder and that it is evil as it kills a human being before he/ she is born, a human being who would have lived in the world were it not for the procedure. Your much more intelligent, wonderful, open minded, demi-gods of friends aka atheists, will try a tell you the truth that a foetus isn't a human and can be killed as and when you like to kill it, as per definition a human is only a human when out of the womb and moral rules only apply to humans as per this definition.

Though you would be doing the right thing in listening to your atheist friends, for they are wise indeed may I add that even if they were wrong, even if morality goes beyond this definition(which it doesn't) as some crazy people may say, even still 'killing' (if the word is appropriate which it is not as you are basically getting rid of an inconvenience or more accurately a piece of tissue) of a potential human being is a good thing. I say the human shall be gratefull as now it can rest in peace rather than endure the pains of life,
Hence see , murder is good. And even still: the younger the victem the better!!

SO do the right thing

ABORT!!!

try it you will feel good

Nope!

The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave didn't get that why by having mothers kill the babies in their own wombs.

Nazi Germany, Communist Russia, China, and others of that ilk do stuff like that.

Abortion is plain old Marxism repackaged by feminists as a "right", but no such right ever existed, or ever can exist, because all human rights come from God. Not from government, or from man.

It's just Godless communism wrapped up in a bunch of new age mumbo jumbo .

Our idiot politicians are too stupid or too lily-livered to stand up against it, and our sex-crazed society thinks of it as the only backup for failed contraception.

Abortion is the rider on the red horse, from the book of Revelation, that kills a quarter of all humanity, and global terrorism, which began about the same time, is God's chastisement for that crime, which takes away peace from the whole world.

Judging by the statistics, since 1974, the Bible has once again proven to be pretty accurate.

I support the right for every woman to make the choice that is best for her. I support the right for every woman to have a safe, clean, environment and well-trained Doctor to help her make that decision and follow through with it. Regardless of race, age or circumstance. No man or government has the right to force any woman into having an unwanted child. I would rather see a woman have an abortion than see one abused child....

And if you have ever looked into the eyes of a child that has been whipped almost to death, or starved, or chained to a bed, or left alone without food, water, heat or a toilet. Or if you have ever held onto a baby addicted to crack you would understand that they are better off in the hands of God than here in a hell that they don't deserve....

Yes I fully support it. There are so many circumstances contributing to an individuals choice. To those of you who are strongly against it than that it's your choice, do not ridicule those who are. Scenario One:

Walking home from night school a girl gets attacked. One month two weeks later she finds out she is pregnant.

Scenario Two:

Teenage girl gets sexually abused from father. Falls pregnant.

Scenario Three:

One girl who practises safe sex constant, one night the condom breaks. She has nothing to offer the child and couldn't bare to give the child away. We all know that you can't support a child merely on love also, be realistic.

Scenario Four:

Health risks. Having a child could kill the mother.

Either way I could go on and on but to those of whom are so quick to ridicule people than you truly are shallow closed minded people. Until you are truly in someones shoes don't be so quick to judge. And this burn in hell god ****. It ain't real. The practises and commandments and bull crap were just that eras form of law and order. For those of you who have had to experience, I feel greatly for you.

I used to think abortion just a personal choice. Until I saw a sonogram of a 6wk fetus and could see the beating heart. It made me change my mind. I now think that abortion is the willfull destruction of another human being .
If you talk to women who've had abortions they will tell you that no one talks about the pain, guilt and depression they experience for YEARS after the abortion.

No, I do not support it. I think if anyone considers it they should speak with someone who has had an abortion. I've spoken to girls who have and they are full of regret. They will tell you this. Once you do it, there is no reverse button. You cannot bring it back. Think about it.
