Jesus spent 40 days on earth after his resurrection.

The Holy Spirit has been assigned to the Church ever since Pentecost.

Either one will do. They're both God.

I'm not sure, but as it was a criminal prosecution I'm sure that there were official Roman records. plus nobody knows how far anybody was away. plus if this happened in a roman room or even an open room those buildings had great acoustics were every one could hear everything. the priest saw everything that Jesus said as wrong so they probably did not have a problem with repeating it. The real question is if Pilot saw no blame in Him why did he allow the terrible things to happen to Him

How do you know that the details given in the Bible about this are correct. For all I know, Jesus may not have even talked to Pilate. Do you have any extra-biblical evidence to support the Bible's version of events??

If you believe that Jesus rose from the dead, then perhaps he told the apostles what happened after the fact. If not, perhaps the writer could have questioned soldiers who were present. Or perhaps someone WAS present that was able to give that information out. There is nothing that indicates that no one else was present or that no one was within hearing distance. It is not like they hid in a closet. How do people find out what was said when they were not around now? They ask around. Not that much has changed in 2000 years.

The Bible was written by men as God gave them direction.
Have you never had a job?You know where a boss gives directions.
Jesus had many people around Him. When He was question, beaten, hung on the cross.
You need to ask God to help you understand so you can have the Faith to believe.<><

The Bible tells us that "all scripture is inspired of God"(2Tim.3:16,17)and 2Peter1:21 tells us "that prophecy was at no time brought by mans will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit."
The men that penned the Bible did so under inspiration by Jehovah God.How else could Moses for example been able to relate the account of the universes' beginning?

I have always assumed someone was around that spread the information abroad.

Doesn't matter . . . I don't base my faith on the Bible. Jesus Christ lives and the Holy Spirit is in my heart. I have found no fault in what the Bible teaches . . so I follow it.

As a matter of fact, Pilate's wife left him over the crucifixtion of Jesus. She left him that very day. She was later one of the early Church saints and it was through her that the account was related.

Jesus told them. And there is a lot of historical documentation of the event outside of the Bible.
