To atheists, i dont need your witty sarcasm nor your advise to give up, in fact i've never seen more than 20 kind atheists's reply in yahoo's Q&A before, so let your kind insults be heard elsewhere, not here, thanks a lot.
I've been a christian for nearly a year. it's Easter today.
For His sake, i suffered what i need not have suffered. I neglected my friends gradually because of cell group meeting and services, i caused my family members to be extremely upset with my decision, and i sacrificed my time, money when i need not have at all.
I gave, though not a lot to others but a lot to me, i sacrificed, my relationship with my family and friends were strained.
Where is the Lord when i needed Him most? When i am sick, when i am sad, when i needed His grace to carry me through, when i needed help, financially, physically, and spiritually.
Till now, my life has no purpose, and i've not felt Him in my prayers except when praying with others. Why? Am i not sincere enough?

look, faith without works is dead. as much as i believe, i doubt im going to hang on for long without any help from Him.
i was thinking of somewhat loosing things a little, letting my faith be with me still, but i'll cut down on things like going to church, prayer meeting, so that my parents wouldnt be so upset, and i wouldnt be expecting that much and landing myself in misery everytime it fails.

It is okay for you to feel this way. I'm sure you are very sincere when praying to God. Being a Christian is the hardest thing anyone can do; we must give everything up and live life anew with Christ. Sure, it sounds as if we'll be all pure and free and happy, but that's not always the case. We live in a fallen world where bad things happen, and our situation is very rarely as lovely as we would like it to be. In your life you may be poor, you may be sad, and you will most definitely be persecuted and tempted, but you have this to rely on: God will NEVER let go of you! No matter how bleak things seem, you will ALWAYS have salvation through the sacrifice Jesus willingly made for us. Remember Job? He had it all; riches, a wonderful family, a happy life....and then it all went into the crapper fast. He never lost his faith in God, and in the end everything was restored to him. We cannot expect anything in this life to be good, and when it is, we should praise God for it! Remember, He is with you always!
"I am with you always, even to the end of the age."-Matthew 28:20
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING OF ALL: Stay in the Word! Satan knows that you are a child of God now, and he would do anything to try to rip you out of God's hand. Read your Bible every day, and surround yourself with good friends who will support and encourage you.

He is with you, but you feel abandoned.
Remember, it is "against your nature" to do as God says, you are fighting the world the flesh and the devil.
He is quietly watching your responses and who you truly depend on, "who" you turn to.
If you are a new Christian, just a year, then better get to studying what you "will" be going through as a Christian, not as easy as a non beleiver, read the book and study, you will be facing "more" adversity than normal folks, it's already happening as God says it will, with your family and friends.
This is now spiritual warfare and you will soon realize it.
The enemy of your soul takes advantage of this early time, and of all seasons of your life, you will be attacked and discouraged, but regardless, everything "must " pass by God before the enemy is free to do what he will, so know that God is watching and see's your test, your response, you must suffer as Christ suffered, not as bad, but you must, the suffering is for others good in the long run, and building of Godly character in you. All will end up "more" than fine, you will learn much by being in the valleys, when you have learned from the test and even through the test, praise God in it all.
He will then lift you to the mountain tops "for a while" more tests will come and you will be very aware of your enemy, therefore cling to the Lord and His power.
Better read and get some understanding of what a true Christianity intails, it's no cake walk, but the things of God you will see, live and understand, are incomparable, and your "expected end" a beautiful eternity with Him forever and ever, just so much love BEYOND IMAGINING.
To save you " much" trouble depend on Him in all things.
Did you think it would be easy ? Then how would you show Him your'e His child, sincere child, unless you were willing to suffer for Him ?
It's well worth the battle, i will pray for you, in the mean time pray for those who seem to be against you, be an example, live and walk the walk and you will affect many people, God will smile on His child. God Bless

First of all, I'm not being sarcastic so please, don't take this as being mean or flippant. We all have our trials in life. Believing in God doesn't exempt you from that. It doesn't work that way. You're looking for God to fix your problems when in reality, you probably have the power to do that yourself. The answer is right in front of you and you're looking to the sky for answers. That is why you're feeling let down. If you think God is ignoring you, there's probably a good reason why. You can do whatever it is to fix things yourself but, you'd rather have a magic fix. I have no idea what illness you have or how dire it is but, I do know that there are medical doctors and hospitals right here on this planet that can and will help you.
If there is anything you need to ask for, it's strength and the power to get through the everyday crap we're all thrown. No offense but, your brand of suffering is no greater than the next person's. Your pain seems so bad because guess what? It's yours! You're miserable so naturally you think you're a victim. We all think that way sometimes. It's how you deal with that and rise above it that matters. God doesn't give you more than you can handle. If you think He's not listening, perhaps you should see that as a sign that the answer is there and you can fix it yourself. Asking for help when it's not needed will get you nowhere. Start applying logic to your life and stop relying so heavily on God to get you out of jams. He is there for you but, He's not going to help you unless you can't help yourself.

If you truly are a Christian, then Jesus Christ is in your heart all the time. Becoming a Christian is more than just a life decision, its being recreated in Christ Jesus the Lord. You have become a new person and nothing can change that.
So you have had problems in your life. Guess what pal, it only gets worst for Christians. The World hates you now just as it hated Jesus Christ befor you. Know this.
It is no longer what is important to you anymore, its what is important with God when it concerns you. Its His Will be done in your life now. Ask Him what He wants you to do and wait for His answer.
When I became a Christian many years ago, God told me to look for the good in all that seems bad. I just buried my mother on this day. I was beside myself.
A blacksmith takes a iron bar out of the furnace and takes it to his anvil to crush it over and over again only to put it right back in the furnace. He will do this time after time till he(reader be wise) achieves whatever his desire.><>

That's a tough one. The answer is, have you truly asked Him to be with you and do you believe He is there?
I have been a Christian for 39 years, and there was a time when I asked Him where He was. The answer? I was focusing too much on myself and not enough on Him. Focus on Him. Go to your family and take responsibility for whatever happened between you. Not the blame, but the responsibility. Apologize for being a person who drew that kind of response from them. Put the focus on them. That will help take the focus off you as well as strengthen your relationship with them. Then, take some time and be alone with God. Talk to Him as though He was sitting right next to you. Talk out loud. Then, LISTEN. Shut up and listen. He will talk to you, in a way that you will know it is Him.
All Christians go through this; you are not alone. I will be praying for you.

I have asked myself the same question many times in the past. The simple answer is the Lord is right beside you. So why doesn't He provide whatever you need? The simple answer is He does.
Last month, I was praying so hard that my 13 year old daughter pass all her seventh grade subjects and graduate from elementary school. I could not afford to let her repeat the seventh grade. After praying so hard, she failed one subject but she was allowed to graduate. At first I resented that He did not grant all my prayers. I could not rejoice and be truly happy for what my daughter accomplished because I expected more from God.
After praying about it one day, it became very clear to me. The Lord allowed her to fail one subject so she will try harder next year. If she passed all her subjects, she would be complacent with her studies. And her subjects will be more challenging in high school.
I thank the Lord for being there when I needed Him the most. He may not have given me everything I prayed for, but He gave me the best.
I pray that He reveal His will to you soon.
Happy Easter!

When I feel like this I find I need to practice the art of gratefulness.
When I am sad and disillusioned I neglect to see the signs that are given to me to restore my faith.
Look where you are, what has happened to you and work out why you are in this position - what is it trying to teach you - what is the lesson you need to learn to be the best person you can be.
Look at nature - the miracles of trees and plants, the joy of seeing humanity - look for the goodness in people, the way the cloud float in the sky.
Sometimes I have actually sat in my yard and watched a lttle trail of ants marching and marvelled at how they know exactly what to do and where to go.
All these little things let me know that God is there - in everything and everyone.
It is not the big miracles or signs it is in the everyday life.

i think of you will discover it is not written in capitals interior the previous testomony. (In Psalm one hundred ten:a million, for occasion, you will oftentimes see something like 'The LORD mentioned to my Lord'.) the reason you will see it written that way from time to time is that as quickly as the call of God is written interior the previous testomony, many translations replace it with the be conscious LORD in capitals. (no longer all translations gain this, and that i'm uncertain how the diverse ones that gain this justify it!) yet whilst the unique language actually contained the be conscious 'lord' in that loanguage, then they only save it in decrease case. you do no longer discover the all-caps version oftentimes in new testomony translations because of the fact no longer most of the hot testomony manuscripts had God's call in in any respect (regardless of the undeniable fact that finally some have been chanced on that did).

You seem to be talking about yourself alot. Jesus made a huge sacrifice for you - how much more do you want? He was beaten with a cat-of 9 tails 39 times, wore a crown of thorns, hung on a cross with nails in His hands and feet, deserted by His Father while He bore the sins of the world...He warned us that our friends and family may turn on us for believing in Him...he never promised us a 'rose garden' here on earth...our rewards are in Heaven. God is always right there...He never moves away...we do.

You are looking for a return on your investments? Didn't Christ wash the feet of the apostle? Didn't Christ say that we must carry our cross daily? Didn't Christ say that the least in heaven is the greatest in heaven, so why would that be any different on earth? Look , Christ said if you get your reward on earth don't expect one in heaven. When you are feeling down because the world is treating you like door mat ,gird yourself up and remember it is just that schmuck satan's doing which means you must be doing some thing right. Christ said when the world hates you to remember it hated him first.
