Your symptoms indicate a visit to a Physician. Blurred vision can be caused by many things. I am not a doctor but I do know for sure, strokes and tumors in or behind the eye or in the brain or a blood clot. Please take care of yourself.

I'm not a doctor, but I got my first (and hopefully last) migraine a few weeks ago. I have since done some research and spoke with the doctor who helped me...your vision can be affected by a migraine, and the migraine can last for days. There are some medicines you can take to help conquer the migraine, but some of them are only effective if you catch it within the first couple hours. If it's been longer than a 2 or 3 days, maybe you should talk to your doctor. Some other tips I learned from some chronic migraine victims...try not to lay down, and ice your head. You might be sensitive to sound and light, and you can may experience nausea and vomiting.
My migraine started on a Wed. and became worse and worse throughout the day. Thursday I woke up and thought my brain was going to swell it's way out of my skull. 9 hours later I went to the ER where they injected me with medicine and gave me an IV for dehydration because of all the vomiting. It stinks and I'm so sorry you're dealing with it. Try putting a cold rag or ice pack on your head. That may tame it down a bit.... and I think you should talk to your doctor if it's been longer than a few days. Hope it works out for you.

yes however if it doesn't subside after that few day period to a week or you start feeling really awkard id speak to a physcian or in the event of and emergency go to nearest emergency room because sometimes migranes can , however mean something else not to alarm this isn't always the case but my last migrane , ended up being a brain anerisum at 24 years old , this was several months ago and of course i'm doing well , but i can't say the same if i would of ignored my pain and didn't make my self better safe then sorry by seeing a physican that is the best call to see a doctor because its hard telling with something as serious headpain , i actually lost my periphial vision for a day or two in my left eye , this is none to alarm you but to make you aware that you should always in a case like this be better safe this sorry and see a physcian instead of just taken advice solely off internet i realise your looking for answers but only a doctor can be sure on this one , goodluck and blessings cassandra

The answer is yes. BUT....
It sounds like you don't have a history of migraines, at least not of that magnitude. Therefore, you're experiencing what's known as a "dramatic change in presentation." That means one thing:
*********YOU NEED TO GET MEDICAL HELP*********
Go see a doctor. I'd go so far as to suggest going to the emergency room. If you don't feel that you can drive because your vision is that impaired, get a friend or a family member to take you.
There's no one on here that's going to be able to help you. You really need to be examined by a physician.
If the pills you mentioned are for migraines, you might be having side effects or there could be something else going on, but that's going to take a doctor who has examined you to figure out.

I get migraines and headaches, also. So I feel for you. But, I am not sure-- perhaps you had a stroke or something? This might be serious. I have never had that happen to me and I have suffered miserable migraines for 10 yrs... Also, menigitis (sp) has similar symptoms. I'd definitely go to the doctor ASAP, and get a cat scan/MRI
But, it might be the medication you are taking that is causing that.. What type of medication are you taking? I'd go to www.webmd.com and look up your medication, and see what side effects it has. I do have weird things happen during a migraine, and even after i take the medication (imitrex), I see spots and stuff..

It sounds like you may have cluster headaches, which is a type of migraine. Blurred vision is common with migraines, but until the migraine goes away, your blurred vision may not go away. If you remain concerned after the headache is gone, it wouldn't hurt to consult your opthomologist. By the way, "cluster headaches" are basically headaches that come in a "cluster." They may occur for several days, go away for awhile, and then occur for several more days, etc.
