California or Hawaii. California because i live here or Hawaii because i want to spend time on sandy beachs and watch the sun go down. Most likely i would invest the money in a couple of houses.

Just last night I saw on TV a house for sale in Orange County, California. This house was more like a small town. It took up 3 lots of property. Had it's own restaurant, jewelry store (Kay's jewellers. It was just a mock up. they just stored the jewelry they already owned there) movie theatre, bowling alley and the property had this huge water ride of a water slide.
But I'm guessing this house would be alot more than just a mil.

I'd buy the house I'm renting (old dump) and knock it down and build a new one... the view is great... the ocean meeting a river...
