Has any one taken ephedra and...?

Question

Has anyone taken ephedra diet pills and felt your heart beating weirdly on the first day???

So I am just gonna crush them and throw them away. Too bad it's a full bottle. started with 100 pills now 98.

yes i have and it made me sicker then a dog i threw up several times and had to come home early from work i do not recommend this product because it will raise your heart rate and that can be dangerous on many levels for lots of people not knowing how this product with affect them or given there family history heart problems , i've known someone who died from taking ephedra not to scare you , young boy bout 16 said he liked the way it made him feel before he played sports gave him an adrenaline rush , well he collapsed on the court and died everyone was astonished at why such a young boy would die of nearly no cause , and when they ran his otopsy report ephedra was in his system and apparently they didn't know he had a hidden heart problem and the ephedra definantly did not help , my best advice would be stick to th e natural things say organic stuff like those funky little smoothies and stuff you see in the produce department at walmart for more energy , biggest thing drink lots and lots and lots of water stay away from sodas i drin kmore ice tea sweetend with artificial sweetner then anything and stay away from sodas and that will definantly help also i watch carbs i'm not like all jenny craig with it haha counting everything but i balance out my meals where i will only eat maybe 2 bites of the carb that i have on my plate and sometimes i splurge eat a whole plate of spegatti anyhow the good carbs you dont need to watch out for as much as the bad but there still worth keeping an eye on also , good luck be careful with that ephedra made me real sick .... cassandra

yeah i take Lipodrene w/ 20mg of ephedra.. to answer your question.. yes, your heart will definately beat irregularly every time you take a pill, because there is a much larger amount of caffeine and stimulants running through your system now compared to a daily cup of coffee/soda.. as long as you don't already have heart problems or respiratory problems then i think you should be fine.. just make sure to read the labels carefully and all the warnings.. the diet pills are also supposed to give you more energy (hence the caffeine), so think about it.. when you work out at the gym, your heart rate increases, you begin to sweat and you lose weight.. the same thing happens when you take these pills soo you know they're working! if you're really worried about your heart rate then read this article on wikipedia.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_rate

ephedra and/or ephedrine is perfectly safe to use when done so responsibly.

you should have taken 1/2 dosage before breakfast and another 1/2 dosage before lunch to obtain a baseline reading of it's effects on "you". then increase the dosage from 1/2 to full both times after several days. then try to squeeze in another 1/2 dosage about 3 pm and see if it effects the sleep at night.
