As the Creator, God can read hearts (as the bible plainly shows). Since humans have free will, the bible also teaches that Jehovah chooses when to use his ability to read hearts and ascertain the future.

(1 Samuel 16:7) For not the way man sees is the way God sees, because mere man sees what appears to the eyes; but as for Jehovah, he sees what the heart is.

(1 Kings 8:39) [Jehovah] you yourself alone well know the heart of all the sons of mankind

(1 Chronicles 28:9) For all hearts Jehovah is searching, and every inclination of the thoughts he is discerning.

(2 Chronicles 16:9) As regards Jehovah, his eyes are roving about through all the earth to show his strength in behalf of those whose heart is complete toward him.

(Proverbs 24:12) Will not he himself that is making an estimate of hearts discern it...?

(Jeremiah 17:10) I, Jehovah, am searching the heart

(Acts 1:24) And they prayed and said: “You, O Jehovah, who know the hearts of all, designate which one of these two men you have chosen

I would think He has better things to do then focus on our every thought and feeling. And considering humans have many random thoughts that at times have little to no bearing on our feelings/beliefs/actions then allot of our thoughts would be of little consequence. That said, consider this, I am not that brite, and right now I am listening to the TV, answering this Q, noticing the flickering light, breathing, thinking of other things, hearing the refrigerator hum, etc. and I am just 1 human. God is,,,,well God. The Bible tells us he knows every star by name, considering how many there are no amount of knowledge seems to far fetched to me for him to have:D

Jehovah's spirit abides inside of each one of us. It is the combination of the dust that forms our bodies and the spirit from him that makes us a living soul. Therefore, it is like each one of us has a direct link to him as long as we live.

He doesn't, as it lacks importance. It's what is found in your heart, when the time comes for judgment, that's important.
