Follow your doctors orders first and foremost and ask him before trying anything suggested to you by a non professional. If he allows for certain amounts of cardio exercise I say do it. Exercise for your heart is the best thing you can do even if it is just walking. Try to have a positive outlook on things. A better attitude has been scientifically linked to longer life. Also, you might want to rack up on your antioxidents. Pomegranates and pomegranate juice is great for that. Red wine is next in line, but you may not be allowed to consume alcohol due to medication. Good luck!

I am sorry to hear that, but I can relate, I have a heart condition and we are close in age.
I make sure that I take NutraSea oil - it is an Omega 3 and 6 oil - it's especially for the heart, it's exactly what you would get if you ate fish, but you get more and it's concentrated. I take it at night so that I don't have to taste it (burp the taste during the day) and it is so healthy for your heart.
Take some time to go for a gentle walk every day - get out somewhere where you can hear the birds, breathe some fresh air, and just have some quiet stress free time to yourself. You deserve that and it does something for the soul to just take that time to think and appreciate life. The walk is good for the heart too.

That depends on what kind of heart disease you have. You should be able to get information from your cardiologist. One size doesn't fit all.

The obvious things are don't smoke, take your meds, eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly if you can, and see your doctor. My friend with a pacemaker/defibrillator wears a medic alert bracelet, drinks a lot of water, and stays away from foods that triggers her heart.

Perhaps you can find a support group for people with your disorder.

I'm so sorry but you def. can stick around much longer. Its about eating proper foods! Stick to as muc organic food as you can. It might be a bit more expensive but its worth it. No saturated fats! No excessive sugar! No cholesteral!
And excerise! Its very important to excersice daily for at least 30 mins. But first make sure with your doctor if its ok to work out this much.
Goooooooooooood luck, and if ur not Muslim, convert. :) I want you to go to heaven. And yes that was random but you get what im saying.

That's a drag, I'm sorry. The best thing you can do is to follow your doctors' instructions for diet and exercise, and try some alternative things, too, like meditation. Make sure you have great doctors, and get a second opinion, too.

Check out the book "Fantastic Voyage", by Ray Kurzweil and Terry Grossman.... It's a great, well-documented book about making drastic, helpful changes in your body.

Kurzweil's site that's all about cutting edge science is at:

And his site about health and health products (and the listed book) is at:

Kurzweil's book, "The Singularity is Near", is a fascinating book about the future of science and medicine. The bibliography is over 150 pages long!!

I am serious...become a vegetarian. You don't need red meat, you don't need carbs that turn to sugar, stay away from stuff like that. Eat wheat products if you want breads or pastas. If you have to eat meat, eat fish or try veggie burgers or tofu. I swear you cannot tell the difference. Once you get used to it, it won't be a problem. Make sure you doctor has you on good meds. Get 2nd opinions on the meds.
