I like GSP but I always wondered about his chin because no one has really checked it before?

GSP's a great fighter, but that just goes to show you what can happen in MMA, I hope he bounces back from this to.

i recorded the fight and it's no slip, Serra tagged him and Gsp slipped because he got rattled from the punch, Serra then rushed him and hit a few more times, then GSP was on his back and KO'ed him.

I agree with Joseph. Matt pushed GSP in the back of the head (not a punch like Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan kept saying) and GSP slipped. In that instance Matt pounced, and GSP never regained balance, finally getting hit by a pretty solid punch and ended on his back, where he got finished. I am not trying to take anything away from Matt, quite the opposite. He came in there swinging and wasn't intimidated at all. If anything, GSP isn't overrated, it was Serra who was underrated.

Serra's win also set up a couple of good possible matches. GSP/Hughes 2 will probably fight a #1 contender match, and Koscheck will get his (undeserved after his fight with Diego) titleshot.

Plus, Diego isn't out of it yet. I think this loss will force him to improve, and Karo is always dangerous and could be in contention soon. All and all, the UFC is rolling strong in all divisions!

As commentators Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg have pointed out in the past: George St. Pierre has all the characteristics of a champion, including an excellent chin, however. The human chin is not designed to be punched, and if you get hit hard enough on the correct spot, your knees will buckle regardless of who you are. GSP is definetly not "overrated", hes got alot of talent, hes only 24 and still learning, and hes got alot of class. But tonight wasn't his night and obviously Serra jacked his title. The REAL question is whether or not Matt Serra has been underrated up until this point, and I believe that to be the case.

I actually said just a second ago right before the fight started that I hoped GSP would win, but Serra's got the punchers chance. Matt has got the cocky new yorker attitude mixed with a slugger Tank Abbot standup fighting style, as he just demonstrated.

GSP is a champion, he will be back better than he already was.

Oh I almost forgot to congratulate Matt Serra on his championship victory, and I'd like to wish George a healthy recovery after tonights fight.

EDIT: Ladies, GSP vs Matt Hughes 2 is already in the history books. George St. Pierre was beating Hughes in their first bout but Hughes locked in an arm bar, literally at the buzzer, which forced George to tap. Thats the first fight, and we already know what happen durin the second. If these two guys fight again, it will be the third fight(rubber match).

Have you ever seen Cro Cop vs Randleman 1? Sh.t happens, serra has heavy hands no doubt but George slipped on the canvas twice before Serra even landed a good shot, kinda like Liddell vs Couture 3, Serra was smart and took advantage, good for him, I wanna see Kos fight him (and lose) and on the same card Hughes/GSP 2 winner getting getting a chance to reclaim the belt.

GSP just had a bad night, & he was man enough to admit as much. As far as who gets the first rematch for the title, who knows? I would like to see GSP fight Matt Hughes 1 last time with the winner getting the first shot at the new champ & the loser getting the second chance IF, IF, IF both GSP & Hughes have rematch clauses for title shots in their contracts. I'd hate to be Dana White & Joe Silva right about now.

He's not overate. MMA has multiple components and having a weak chin doesn't mean that he would loose every time. I think Serra was underated. He has been in the game a long time and people forget that his record was 8-4 (not impressive), but who he lost were all decent (BJ Penn, Karo Parison, Shonie Carter, and Din Thomas-which was originally given to Serra.)

Overrated? He handily beat the monster everyone couldn't touch.

I thought Hughes was going to hold that title till he decided to retire.

He is one excellent MMA'er

Since I didn't order the ppv Just found out that Hammafist Elbow beat GSP; more shocked I couldn't be. I always like Matt but never thought he could beat Rush.

Kinda sux cause I think Hughes is prolly going to be wearing the belt sooner than I hoped.
