i believe in God, but why do i do.?

Everyone seems not be answering your question very directly, but are going into specific stuff about Christianity.
If you know you believe in God, but aren't sure why, I think it means that you accept that there must be something beyond this world, something more spiritual, but it hasn't presented itself to you in a way you can understand, which is why you're not sure why you believe it.
Humans are made to have reason and logic, and we're not meant to squander these gifts; that being said, we still tend to always look to find a greater force to explain our actions and our lives. It's just your logic and reason that's making you question "why", and if there's a God up there, I'd be willing to bet a lot that he/she is happy that you're bold enough to ask.

Start praying and ask him into your heart.

cuss u r not praying for strenth from God. That is why u do things your not suppose to do. Pray to God to throw down the enemys wepons, and put on the armor of God. Read Romans 3:11-18, and pray to God about it.

it gives people hope that their is someone that mighty and powerful and when in doubt you probably pray to him, so if it makes you happy then just go about how you live, if you want to question gods exsitance then read the bible and see if it makes sense and why god did what he did. Find a church where they keep the Bible as a center of teaching and they lead you to a life changing relationship with God. Study God's word in a group where there are people who can explain things. Pray. : )

Your theist beliefs are now deeply embedded in your subconscious mind, and even with rational self-examination it is hard to understand why they are there.

If you dont know why you believe in God then in my opinion you dont believe. Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins that so you could go to Heaven if you accept Him into your heart. Jesus gave His life for you. Thats why you should believe. If you understand what I mean, then I invite you on this day to accept Christ into your heart so that you can go to Heaven when you die. Simply pray a prayer asking Chirst to come into your heart and confess that you are a sinner. Chirst loves you and he gave his life for you. He rose three days later and that is why we celebrate Easter.
