Become a Pastor only if the Lord calls you. However I must say, Pastor's work much more than one day a week. First of all he is working on his sermon, and that is only one part of his calling. If he is a Pastor who really cares about his flock- he will counsel, he will visit people in the hospital, etc. plus staff meetings. They work more hours then they get paid for, at least the ones that are real servants of the Lord- I know my pastor is one of them,

You obviously have no idea of what a pastor does for those other six days, do you? They are responsible for the spiritual needs of their entire congregation, including (but not limited to):
Sick calls, counseling, church finances and business, committee meetings, public speaking, working with other pastors and churches on community projects, teaching, assisting in church activities, helping maintenance of the church building and properties, etc.
Sometimes a pastor spends more time caring for church members than he does with his own family. They put in a lot more than just those two or three high-visibility hours on Sunday morning, that's for sure.

Don't become a pastor is you only want to work one day a week.
Real pastors work 24/7.....they're never off....and some of them hold outside jobs.
They marry people, bury people, comfort the sick & dying, counsel people, pay bills, etc.

oh my no.. Pastors work 7 days a week, sweetie.. they get awakened at all hours of the night to go to the hospital for one of their congregants, for counseling, etc... they have to prepare those messages taught on Sundays (and sometimes it's Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night), they have to handle church business, network with other pastors, plan, organize and implement charity events, etc.. they lead a very busy life indeed.

You should ONLY be a Pastor if God placed this on your heart its not a career choice at least its not supposed to be that is a big problem in the church is to many "career type "professional ministers that are in it for a vocation when it should be a calling from God.

Probably not ;) Every minister of any persuasion I have ever met tells me they are always busy. It's a full-time job which includes a lot of pastoral care (advising/helping etc.) the congregation outside of normal service-times. Maybe you could volunteer to help out instead?

ah... I knew you'd be back. Still searching for God, huh? You're as dumb as your questions if you think pastors only work one day a week. They're busy going to prisons trying to help the likes of you.
