Why are you spamming these soapbox preachings?
Do you think that being more annoying will make anyone listen to you?

I don't know Amy. It seems like they have no trouble at all with spreading there hate to Christan's on here. But when you go to witness about Christ you are the hated. Its really awful.

I don't think it's wrong to witness at all. The method which you use and the leading of the Holy Spirit are crucial to whether or not any one actually listens to your testimony, however.
Around this forum, people tend to be judged by their ability to give good logical replies and their attitudes towards those who don't share their belief system. I've found from experience that if you present your information well and treat others with respect, they're more apt to listen to you than if you just "beat them over the head with the Bible," so to speak.
A very blessed Resurrection Day to you, too!

People mainly object to obnoxious propaganda (like this) and in-your-face, ring-your-doorbell-on-Sunday-morning evangelists. You would probably be shocked if I came to your house and tried to educate you about the research which indicates your so-called "jesus christ" (which is not even a real name), developed as a sort of pre-historic urban legend, much like the story of Hercules (who some people actually started worshiping, even though it clearly started as a story as well). Check out jesusneverexisted.com and witness some real truth.

"Why do people think it is so wrong to witness?"
Many folks perceive "witnessing" as an un- requested opinion, masquerading as a "fact", by a person pretending to be an expert, intimating that if the other person does not exactly agree with the person witnessing, that they are at the minimum mis-informed, and in need of correction before they go to hell.
So that is what is wrong.

For the same reason I don't enjoy being awaken on Sunday Morning by Jehovah Witnesses. I don't like it.

The best way to witness is to live the christian experience in front of all those in contact with you and to manifest the fruits of the spirit.

It's like this...
If I started yelling at the top of my lungs about my Pagan ways and telling you that what you believe is wrong and that the way I believe is the only truth, you'd get pretty pissed off too.
I think it's fine and dandy to be proud of your religion, to stand in what you believe is true, but it ticks me off when someone of a different path tells me my truth isn't truth at all.
If THAT'S what witnessing is then yea, people are going to think it's wrong.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world but men will not come to the light lest their deeds be revealed that they are evil. Basically, they don't like the idea of being condemned and they don't like being told what to do - they would rather make their own rules and consider anything else an interference. Blessings in Christ! Tom
